Good point. I'd be much more comfortable with Messina if he worked as an assistant for a while. The NBA really is a much different game. College coaches have a hard time with the transition also.

Messina coached for some times in Russia (CSKA Moscow) and won a couple of euroleague, and i know Nets owner is a former CSKA fan so it's possible
