ESPN's Thorpe: Bargnani a Bonner-type Player

Prior to last night's performance, Bargnani's performances to date this season could definitely be comparable to those of Matt's, but if we see more frequent outings like we saw last night from Andrea, he'll quickly changes those types of references. :cwm34:

Andrea Bargnani, Raptors: The top pick in the draft has to be the most disappointing player, thus far, from the draft class of 2006. He has been less effective in almost every measurable category this season compared to his rookie season, which is a very troubling sign. He's still a very good 3-point shooter, but he's showing little else. With the No. 1 pick, the Raptors may have drafted a Matt Bonner type.

That's a slam at Bonner if i've ever heard one... Matt's the hardest working guy in the league most nights and what he lacks in athleticism he makes up for with heart. He's no first rounder and I can accept the comparison on that level alone but Matt's a good kid that is playing with what he has been given and earning every minute.

Comparison is asinine.

Yeah no kidding. If anything Bargnani is the complete anti-Bonner.

Other than three point shooting the two have pretty much NOTHING in common.

Thorpe = Lame.

ahaha
this guys a dumbass
bonners 6-10 has a hunchback
all he can do is shoot, but not better then bargs.

Just to clarify, when i call Bargnani an anti-Bonner, i don't mean to complement Andrea per se.

Maybe we can combine the two

Mattdrea Bongnani - deadly from three, gritty, hard-working, smart, good passer, good ballhandling, boxes out, drives a Grand Am, eats ravioli...

With the last name like "Bongnani" the dude would have been a very popular player indeed... :cheeky-smiley-013:
