Default ESPN: Which veteran should Moon study?

According to David Thorpe from ESPN he thinks that Jamario should pattern his game after Luol Deng's. What do you guys think? Good idea or should he pattern it after another NBA vet?

Deng also has a renowned work ethic and a keen eye for studying game film in preparation for his next game. If Moon can adopt some of Deng's traits, he will be a rotation guy for years to come.

I can't think of anyone better from an offensive perspective. Jamario has always shown solid shooting percentages at every level he's played at so it's right there for him..I think it's just confidence and attitude..things he has to develop at this level(nba) holding him back..but he's a rookie so i'm not too hard on him.

Defensively I just want him to stay down a bit more..he jumps at most every head fake and while he has such hops that he can still often recover it's not the most effective way to defend and i'ts exploitable.

Moon has mental block that prevents him from attacking the rim each time he sees somebody in front of him... he never, ever jumps when there is somebody under the hoop... maybe, he is scared of getting injured, maybe he doesn't like contact or maybe he hates when people block his shot... whatever it is it's a real issue for him.

Just watch him play, only time he dunks or goes strong is when he is wide open or alone under the rim.

I agree - the guy never dunks when someone is under him. I also agree, it's like he's afraid of an injury or something.

He needs the human equivalent of the Dog Whisperer to "train" his brain to attack everytime he sees a defender under the basket in the paint that he can dunk on.

Man, Moon pisses me off... when he goes for a dunk and sees a guy coming towards him he switches the ball from one hand to another and attempts layup that usually is short...

Why not go all the way and study Lebron James.

I think Moons should become confident with dribbling the ball and cross overs so he can create and drive to the basket.

IMO Moon is too light to crash on air with anyone ... he would be the looser 99 times for 100. And to fall from that height without control can be seriously awful.

From NBA.com:

Moon :
Height: 6-8 / 2,03
Weight: 205 lbs. / 93,0 kg.

McGrady:
Height: 6-8 / 2,03
Weight: 223 lbs. / 101,2 kg.

Gerald Wallace:
Height: 6-7 / 2,01
Weight: 220 lbs. / 99,8 kg.

Lebron James:
Height: 6-8 / 2,03
Weight: 250 lbs. / 113,4 kg.

Rudy Gay:
Height: 6-8 / 2,03
Weight: 222 lbs. / 100,7 kg.

I say he should study some old tapes of Clyde Drexler. I see some similarities in their games, I emphasize some, and Clyde was a great player who never got the props he deserved, or at least I feel he deserved. He would be a great player for him to study.
