4. Serge Ibaka, Thunder
5. Jrue Holiday, 76ers

Quote:
12. DeMar DeRozan, Raptors
As a starting 2-guard in the NBA, DeRozan still needs to improve in a lot of areas -- namely the 3-ball -- but watching the Raptors lately is basically watching the DeMar DeRozan Show. He is their most dynamic young player and, since December, has been their most productive and consistent scorer after Andrea Bargnani.
DeRozan has become lethal as a shooter off curls and is attacking the rim more when closely guarded on the perimeter. He pairs nicely with Ed Davis in Toronto as consecutive first-round picks who look like core guys going forward.
13. Landry Fields, Knicks
14. Greg Monroe, Pistons
15. James Harden, Thunder
16. Taj Gibson, Bulls
17. Gary Neal, Spurs
18. Brandon Jennings, Bucks
19. Reggie Williams, Warriors
20. Paul George, Pacers

Fine guys to watch- Sam Young, Wesley Johnson, Evan Turner,Derrick Favors,Marcus Thornton

Wow, John Wall #9. He's really cooled off since that hot start he had in the beginning of the season. You don't here a lot of talk about him anymore.

Hasheem Thabeet, also a #2 pick, didn't make the list either.

Draft position doesn't mean that player is necessarily better than his peers...

I think some of those selections have been overly impacted by fast starts, like Fields and Neal, and I'd question the criteria that was employed

True, but there was alot of discussion going on before that draft about if Turner may possibly go #1 over Wall...

ummm no there wasn't.....
wall was the consensus number 1. everyone knew he was going number 1. it was one of those years where who was going to be taken at 1 was obvious like lbj, griffin, etc

wrong... there was alot of discussion about Turner going number one, even if many doubted they would pass on Wall.

Wall was the favourite, but it wasn't that Wall was seen as a can't miss pick like Griffin was. There were many questions about his game, but Turner and even Cousins were getting some love as top choices.

Carp is right. I'll put it this way if u ask 10 people who should have been the #1 pick 8 said wall 2-3 others said turner.

Wall was #1 to many but some people threw turner name out there.

If Paul George continues to get PT, he'll move up that list. Good player.

Entering the league Wall was seen as one of the best and theyre were GM surveys saying he was in the top 5 best pgs b4 he even played a game. He was given wayyyyyy more hype than Griffin. He was overhyped and then he got off a good start then injuries, and now he isnt doin anythin. He kinda reminds of Brandon Jennings rookie season last year. He scored 55 pts against GSW, then he didnt do much, till playoffs when he exploded. The Hawks had no answer.

B4 the draft, i went through a few mock drafts, and i dont recall seeing Turner ever gettin picked over Wall. Wall was #1 since the start. I still think Philly should have went With Derrick Favors. They have wayy too many guards over there.

Wall will be just fine. Injuries have hurt him more than anything. Also, Turner will be fine. When he plays with confidence he's a real nice player. He's also playing in a nice situation, where it looks like they'll be going to the playoffs.

He'll be 'up' on some lists next year. Also, I just want to say the last few years, some people have stated how 'weak' the past drafts have been (hear that every year), but there's some real nice players on that top 20 list.

Just shows you how valuable drafts are.

Why not? Lawson has been a really good pg for them and has arguably made Billups expendable.

DeMar has had 2 solid months in his career. We're over-hyping our own players.
