ESPN, SI.com & NBA.com Power Rankings - Week 2

we moved up 6 spots and sit at 6. Not too shabby.
"You might be wondering if a team from Canada was eligible to be recorded as the first-ever U.S. Army Team of the Week in Power Rankings history. We promise: (Uncle) Sam Mitchell's Raps were indeed in the mix."

Nice ... and I think 6th is a reasonable start considering who we've beaten so far.

NBA.com has us at #6 in their power rankings too.

Ranking are shit. Rankings after the first three games - complete shit.

Let's see this version of the Raptors beat a couple of quality teams (yes, like Detroit), before we pay any attention to the rankings.

And no, Raptors are NOT #6 team in the league, not even close. #10, maybe.

Geez Mike ... let us rejoice for a moment and enjoy it while it lasts ... come December this place might be really ugly with everyone calling for everyone's head.

I prefer the lighter side right now.

Sorry, Doc, I hate rankings.

There are some definite positives about this team this season. Enough, so that we don't have to indulge in groundless euphoria, IMHO.

As usually, total BullShit. As Mike said, ranking after 3 games is just non-sense.

Im probably as negative or more negative as most people on this forum, but im finding the time to enjoy this start to the year and have the hope that maybe Sam can get this team to seriously overachieve, maybe JO will come into near allstar form later in the year, maybe Bosh is truely a franchise player and maybe Jose will be the best PG in the world very soon I know, alot of maybes, but thats what makes sports fun, believe in this team boys, who knows, its the EC, we arent far from being right up there near the finals!!!

Ummmm... Bosh is most definitely a franchise player.

There's no question about that.

He has started showing that.
Although, I still think he is Scottie Pippen waiting for this Michael Jordan.
Or Robin looking for a Batman.

no. I think he's Batman. JO is the "bigger" Robin.
While we're on spuerheroes, IMO i'd liken Bosh to someone who needs a sidekick. He's not superman. He can't do it by himself, but he is certainly the franchise player and a damn good one at that.

He's tintin. JO is snowy. (Calderon can be Captain Haddock.)

So pre-season games that look ugly mean that we should all curse and spit, but some nice recognition from the media three games in should just be tossed aside?

Cover you eyes before you read this Mike.

Marty Burns from CNNSI puts us at #4 in his power rankings:

They also won their first two road games to start the season for the first time since '99-00. In another promising development, Jermaine O'Neal (11.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 blocks) looked solid in his first week with the Raptors.

i love your analogy fancy, but it's a pretty big stretch to call tintin a superhero!

I'm shocked that SI didn't put us 4th, but also insist on saying that Sam is on the hotseat.
