Our C is covered with JV, so logical choice is Barnes right?

Bayless
Derozan
Barnes
Bargnani
Val

I'm big on size/speed for point guards. He's a bit on the smaller side, he's quick but is he fast? A few things that deter me from liking Kabongo is his size and I guess athleticism to a certain degree... He's got good quickness, but can he keep up with the Roses, Westbrook etc??
Well, I'm not sold on either Bayless/Calderon playing 30 mins a night.

yes but you don't fill a hole through a top 5 pick in a deep, deep, draft. you pick the best player there, and trade to fill holes. better to have more talent in one spot and move it around to cover all positions than to have less talent but have all 5 covered via draft.

I'm not advocating for picking him in top 5. We should pick him up with a mid pick through a trade if we can.

if Drummond is there you take him. not many pure centers coming into the draft these days.
take the BPA, there's always trades available.

Should we? I don't know. After how Oden Durant draft panned out I am thinking more than twice about it. And he hasn't exactly looked like the greatest prospect so far.

Also, I'm not sold on Harrison Barnes just yet. I still think that we make a bigger play to bring in a guy like Batum to fill out our SF position and let DeRozan be that primary wing player. I wouldn't be surprised if we landed a high pick and traded down to grab a guy like Kendall Marshall (who is just a natural PG).
i agree, a clever trading down could get us 2 very good players instead of 1 with a shot being a star. I know everyone wants us to get an out and out star but someone like batum who you know is gonna be a good to very good player and a young PG in a stacked draft sounds like it could improve the team more.

i guess it depends on what bayless shows. I hope we are very open to be a bit leftfield like this tho.

I also believe that K Marshall is something special ... Would love to see him in a raptor uniform ... I think he will be a star. His court vision is the best I've seen in years ..

Exactly what I thought. Especially when they said:

Outside of Drummond or Davis, I am liking Gilchrist and Miller. If we could somehow add Marshall or Kabongo at the PG in the same draft, .

I would drool from now until draft day if they could get a second lottery pick.
