Angry Espn ranks Nba Teams all-time (Raptors 27th out of 30)

So he put everything in the equation, total wins, total superstars, fan support, series wins etc..

I know that we are still a fairly new franchise compared to other teams but surprised that Raptors are 27th?

NBA Franchise Rankings: Los Angeles Lakers No. 1 - ESPN

not surprising at all. we've rarely been a playoff team and we have no cache around the league...

any insiders that can copy and paste the description of the raps at 27?

Yes but bucks? Thunder? Hawks even?...
I don't think an insider can do that, if he can POST IT UP!

The Thunder have the rich history of the Sonics behind them.

The Hawks are one of the original NBA teams.

The Bucks have been around since the first wave of expansion and have won a championship with two of the greatest ever.

The Raptors are nothing more than a mere pimple on the butt of the NBA.

Deal with it.

well we pretty much lose out on total wins considering we have only like a handful of over 500 seasons and the rest are like near the bottom of the league seasons
we have 1 playoff series win out of 5 seasons of playoffs out of like 15 total seasons
we only have total superstars going for us and even then the equation might be against us in that a lot of the superstars we have/had were not good when they played on our team
we have good fan support but i think the expansion years and the other early years we didn't have good attendance so considering this team isn't that old those early years still factor heavily in the equation

27. considering the list covers "all time" then that sounds about right. Now if the Grizzlies were higher, then i'd have a problem with it.

Lemme guess: it's 27. Raps, 28. Minnesota, 29. Memphis, 30. the clippers?

oh yeah - forgot about the bobcats

You know your team sucks when some basketball fans forget you exist.

well, they have the alltime thing working against them even more than we do
especially when so many of their fans were hornets fans and then they just came in and had to start converting fans to a crappy expansion team

don't really care about all time, I care about the present day status of the team

I mean Denver is a lot better than Milwaukee, so what if they won a title in the 70's and had Kareem for a couple years

yeah, if you think about it, this list is pretty pointless because it is based on alltime stats which means the old storied franchises will always be at the top and the new expansion teams will always be on the bottom
think about it, for all the superstars that the new franchises can get, it'll never overtake the old franchises like lakers and celtics in their number of stars and at the same time they too are getting stars added to their list
and for every good season and playoffs a new team will achieve, to old franchises can get them too and how much will like 5 terrible seasons for like a celtics team affect their ranking when they have like 40-50 other seasons of dominance

Pistons should be at least top 5
And the Kings should be at least top 15 for their late 90's and early 00's. They'll be great right back, be sure of that

Raptors didn't deserve nothing better...
We barely make it to the playoffs!

i would assume the worst franchise in sports history has to be a team in the NHL because nobody cares about watching NHL but Canada
its gotta be some team that hasn't won or been in the playoffs much and has no fans in the stands, thats like half the american teams
