ESPN Radio: BC dangling Kris Humphries for a 2nd pick or a backup PG?

Aparently BC is really trying to get rid of Hump for another pick and/or a backup PG? At least that's the rumour.

ESPN Radio: Draft Rumours
by HypNotiQ on Wed Jun 17, 2009 6:20 pm

They were talking about the draft and mentioned that they have received notification from sources that the Raptors have promised Demar DeRozan that they will pick him at #9 if available and if not, they will look at Johnny Flynn. Also, BC is trying hard to dangle Kris Humpries either for another draft pick or a backup PG. They also mentioned an interesting rumour that is being discussed between Dallas and Charlotte:
Josh Howard, Jerry Stackhouse and a filler(Shawne Williams?)
for
Nazr Mohammed, Gerald Wallace and Charlottes #12 pick.

Also, apparently the rumours about Washington dangling their pick is true and they are interested in getting a veteran player in exchange for their pick and one of their bad contracts; Songalia or Etan Thomas

That would be nice... we have a handful of bigs and I wouldn't mind giving away Humps for a 1st rounder/ backup pg.

Trade him for a draft pick (20-25?) and hope Jeff Teague drops into our laps?

Too much dangling in general there. Older men can be sensitive to that kind of thing.

We`ve got one of the crapiest, if not the crapiest backup in the league, anything would be better imo.

That`s probably one of the trades BC is trying to push through, but it`ll take more the just Hump to land Dooling.

roko really isn't that bad
you have to consider the fact that he was an oversea rookie last year

and the biggest thing is for the last 2 years we've been spoiled watching 2 starting PGs playing on the same team

most likely any backup PG we get for hump will be even worse than roko
but i guess a backup to a backup is probably better than having hump

i read somewhere today that said milwaukee is supposedly in love with him and think he can be there point guard of the future in a few years

hopefully we can get a good back up point guard or a pick in the teens (hoping) and then use the 9th and the 2.8 million to get the 5th from washington, it solves our back up point guard needs and we can select evans or HOPEFULLY harden if he's there, i think washington can still get what they want with trading the 9th overall pick and get 3 mil as well, its a possability i think at least, i would also be happy with derozan at 9, buying a pick and getting a back up point guard and trading hump for a first rounder and taking someone like austin daye

Worse? I don`t know that there is anyone worse out there. And imo if we can get a backup that can shoot for a decent % and has some NBA experience i`d take him over what we have right now.

i don't think you realize how bad hump really is
on our team he's probably the 2nd worst player, with on POB being crappier

humphries holds some solid value, if you think otherwise well then your wrong, don't get me wrong hes not amazing or anything but he's definately valuable to some teams and has value, hes young, athletic, and big he will have a place in the nba for years to come, just sucked for him we have a all-star in his position

I didn`t know this, but Portland has 5 picks in this years draft?

Quote:
The Blazers have a total of five picks in next Thursday's NBA Draft, and Kevin Pritchard admitted on Tuesday that he could move them.

Pritchard said trading the team's first rounder and one of their four second-round selections "is a possibility."

Soon after Pritchard added, but "what's the fun in that?"

humps was an evans type of player, now that we have filled that rolled with a larger humps "evans" we no longer need him, so he is expendable. humps was a guy you would cheer for when playing but he didn't have the height to do much. hes like a kevin love type of player without a jump shot.
