Default ESPN: Iverson Deal, Why? ... Dumars Has His Reasons

One big big reason, is that Joe wants a piece of the 2010 summer sweepstakes with Bosh being one of those large targets.

Or the Pistons could be patient and wait until the summer of 2010, when the star-studded free-agent class is expected to include LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, who might be Detroit's most realistic target.

I think everyone should be targeting those players. Also, the players mentioned before, i.e. Williams, Boozer and Lee all fit the mold of a Detroit basketball player.

Wasn't it Joe Dumars who selected Darko Milicic with the second pick, when he could've chosen Bosh, Wade, or Melo?

Whoa - Gurk bringing the insights! Nice.

Seriously - all the BS about Bosh picking up and leaving has to end.

But we can't rule out the possibility of him doing so, which is kinda scary.
He hasn't shown any inclination to get up and leave, but then again, he hasn't exactly shown anything to prove that he will stay after 3 years.

Except play with an ever greater intensity, and show that he completely buys into everything that is happening with this team.

Does he have to run for mayor or something?

as hollinger said, there's no way lebron goes to detroit to play for less money. Detroit is just as big as a market as cleveland ...
Anyway, since they've extended rip, it looks fairly probably that they'll make a move in 2009, unless they plan on trading rip along with his extension.

Looks like the fear of Calderon being posted up on is gone.

Pistons Aldridge "Pistons to go after CB4 in 2010"

dose Bosh have a player or team option in 2010? If he has a player option do you think he will resign with the raptors?

I think it's far too early to speculate on whether or not Bosh is going to resign here or not. It depends on too many external and internal variables in regards to the team and the city itself.

Do we become a legitimate championship contender?
Does Sam stay?
Does BC stay?
Does Bargnani develop?
How does Calderon do?
Is he in search of more fame?

I could go on, but you get my drift.

Honestly, i think it's up to Chris what he wants to do and im not worried about it whatsoever, he has always given it his all here and deserves the respect to do what he pleases, aslong as he is man enough to tell the organization that he would consider moving a year in advance so we can move him.

^^^I also think he deserves the right to move if he wants to. Because he gave it pretty much everything he had here in TO day in and day out. There wasn't really a time where he was injured for 2-3 months. Usually he would be only be out for a few weeks if it was serious.

Acording to this wingnut the pistons might offer CB a BIG contract in twenty ten

http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nb...son_trade.nba/

He also states the Bosh will be more likely to leave because TO is to off the map and out of MVP and first team voting

I'm so very tired of this crap (the part about Toronto being off the map)..... but it will never ever stop, so there's really no point in getting riled up over it.

It's all conjecture. he fails to mention where we'll be in 2010, as we're in just as good a shape as any to make some plays for free agents. somehow Bosh doesn't strike me as a guy overly concerned with recognition, but i think people who follow the game know he can play and is one of the best forwards in the world today.
aldridge gets paid to talk out of his ass, and as he said, it don't matter where its coming from, as long as that cheque clears on the first and fifteenth then he's gonna talk out of his ass

He very well may..... our track record in that department is pretty shitty. However, we haven't had a major defection since BC came to town. If Bosh stays, I'm gonna probably give BC a lot of the credit (assuming he is still around lol).
