there is no evidence to back this up -none. Bosh was second team all-nba in 2006, and we've only won 47 games.

In order to be an MVP candidate you need to either have off the charts stats, or for you team to be #1 in at least the conference. Bosh wasn't even close to either of those two criterias. He's arguably a top 5 player on his position, and our team was never in top 8, nba-wde.

You have to consider that Kobe is going to be right up there now that the Lakers are title contenders. He's still arguably the best player in the NBA.

Paul already has people debating whether he's the best PG ever to play (lol!). The man-love for him is at an all-time high.

And Lebron? The face of the NBA? Hard to beat that too... esp. when you realize that he has yet to win an MVP.

As much as it pains me to admit it, Chris would have to be pretty otherworldly for him to pass all of those guys.
you make it look like those guys are slouches and only get respect because media loves them ... Lebron almost had 30/8/8 stats for last season, and dwarfs Bosh in all categories but rebounding (and even there he's very close). Bosh gets no respect because he's not worth it yet - not to mention that his defence is really below average, not even close to KG or Duncan.

vince Carter was leading the league in all-star votes in his prime, all while playing from Canada - so all this talk about disrespect is useless chatter with no underlying basis.

I completely agree that they can sit at #2 in the east, but I also think they can vie for the top spot, depending on whether the Celtics can keep the competitive juices flowing and do Ok without Posey. Cleveland and Orlando still have the chance to come on strong thoroughout the season. It's all as I expected. I always felt that we don't need things to go right to compete for fourth or fifth seed, but rather if they go right, we'll be battling for something much higher.

YES, finally the RAPS r getting respect from the American media. To be honest, it'll be very hard for Bosh to win MVP, atleast for this year BUT Raptors FTW!!!
