convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

Surprisingly a few of the analysts picked the Raptors, eventhough I don't see it happening. I guess that's why they call it dark horse then.

Henry Abbott, TrueHoop: Orlando has the big man and the coach for the job. And it's easy to picture Hedo Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis having huge series. But it's tough to bet on a team with an uncertain point guard situation.

So I'll take Toronto: the Raptors have a big man in Chris Bosh, a steady point guard in Jose Calderon, and maybe some learned lessons from last year's disappointing end to the season.

John Hollinger, ESPN.com: I don't think anyone is particularly likely in the East, but if forced to choose I still have to go with the Raptors. If Bosh and Ford are both healthy they're the best offensive team in the conference.

Chris Sheridan, ESPN.com: For lack of a better candidate, I'll go with the Toronto Raptors.

I could see them upsetting Cleveland in the first round if the Cavs can't defend their point guards (remember what Tony Parker did to them in the Finals? Jose Calderon and T.J. Ford could do something similar) and if Chris Bosh gets to go one-on-one against Mr. Disinterest, Ben Wallace.

Interesting..and yeah i'd beleive in an upset of Cleveland as a longshot...but we aren't beating detroit or boston in a 7 game series...not this year.

Would getting the fourth or the fifth spot make a diference in the semifinals of the conference? I mean, if we are fifth and we beat the cavs in the quarter finals. would we auotomatically play orlando in the semifinals?

EDIT: I meant detroit not orlando

Chance of making the finals

Boston: 50%
Detroit: 30%
Cavs: 18%
Toronto and Orlando: 2%

By the way, I think Detroit is underestimated on that panel... yes, the Celtics look like the sex right now, but the Pistons play better when they're the underdog. As much as I don't trust Flip in the playoffs, they're my pick this year (even if Boston's odds look better)

Al I know is that as per usual, Marc Steain shat all over toronto.

He loves to.

also, how exactly do you come up for a number that says how much of a chance a team has to win a series.
