lol i dunno how to argue with u on this stuff... how many players grab 10 a game? You think thats an insignifigant number? Do u think his FG % and his PPG are aswell? To just throw out he has no stamina as an arguement when his whole career he has played 30+ min a game, aswell as extensive international games aswell doesnt carry much weight to me. And he does alter shots, he does clog up the middle, thats not some myth. 2 blocks a game is a fine stat for any C in the league, not many average more. He is an underrated passer aswell and you cant just hack him late in games cuz he is the best FT shooting centre in the league. I dunno whats to really hate or what C you really wanna put up against him numbers for numbers except maybe Howard?

First of all I think Yao is a wonderful player, but we're discussing the list and who deserves to be there and why.

You say you're a fan of the Rockets or watch a lot of them on TV and yet it's as though you aren't aware that stamina and strength has been an issue his entire career. The guy runs up and down the floor twice and he's sucking wind and grabbing his shorts for the rest of his time out there.

And yes, those are decent numbers, but again my point was he could be averaging 15 and 4 if he were more assertive on the court.

Is English your first language? You seem to have a hard time understanding what's being discussed.

No one here has said they hate Yao. We're discussing his placement on the list. Bargs has nothing to do with this and I certainly don't see anyone arguing that he should be included.

Pimp, please tell us, how IS he erroneous?

Yao DOES get gassed pretty quickly. Do you know HOW he plays his minutes? He rests on the court, which is an incredibly smart thing he does, but he DOES have these issues. Many times he actually rests on the offensive side, i.e. trying to not get as active, not running around like a 2 guard etc. This is how he stays effective. He always picks his spots and this is what makes Yao quite an anomally in the NBA. To put it bluntly, he could never do well in a run n' gun Phoenix/Washington/Golden State offence. He doesn't have that ability. But the guy is a beast in a half court set and really hides his faults extremely well.

Oh and please spell arguing correctly. Remember, DROP the "e" when adding "ing". Sorry, just a pet peeve when people spell incorrectly. It may be a message board but that doesn't mean the rules of the English language need to be disregarded.

don't put much trust in the list once it goes down the top 10, probably hollinger didn't spend a lot of time analyzing those players, he must have used his PER as the main ranking tool. As for the first 10, you can argue for manu vs yao, there are arguments for both. Ginobili is a far more rounded player, yao has those 7'6 that can't be "taught", but if you take into account how many games they have played this season, you have to give it to Manu, after all - when you're injured you don;t do too much. WHen you miss almost half the season, you have to take a hit in these rankings imo.
