Bucks Ersan Ilyasova anyone?

Kinda agree with Jack Armstrong Here..Can we get this guy for Bargnani? He had a slow start to the season but has picked it up. Can he be pryed away from the Bucks? What else might it take... AA?

Quote:
ERSAN*ILYASOVA (Bucks): I've said it a number of times in the past - I'm a fan of this guy. He had a lousy start to the season after signing a big extension this past summer but look at his numbers the past 10 games (17.4ppg and 8.4 rpg / 49 per cent field goal rate, and has shot over 44 per cent from three-point range this season) and you see a guy who is coming into his own. I really wanted the Raptors to make a run at him this past off-season but there were questions of whether he could play the three spot. He's a good player who finds his way onto the court. He's more of a 4/3 but he's more than capable of helping you win. I'm probably dreaming here (I'm sure I am), but if Bucks GM John Hammond picked up the phone and called Raps president/GM Bryan Colangelo about Andrea*Bargnani, I would do everything in my power to get this guy in return. He rebounds, plays hard and has a motor and puts up numbers that Bargnani has put up in the past - he would be an upgrade in my opinion. Ever happen? Doubt it, but always nice to think (dream) out loud. Wishful thinking, I guess.

I kinda hate wishful thinking like that Jack. I liked him since seeing him play for Turkey, and just before we got Hedo. I'd rather not think too much about how he isn't here.

I doubt we can get Ilyasova. Too bad, he would be great here imo.

Yep. I'd be shocked if MIL made that trade since Ersan scores as well (or better) than Bargs while providing more everywhere else on the stat sheet and on the floor.

Last thing MIL would want (I would think) would be another chucker with Jennings and Monta already there....

I would LOVE to grab him though.

Here? Yeah. I think he'd start most nights, unless Gray was needed.

Trade Bargs for Ersan and Demar for Favors and this team would be disgustingly athletic.

i feel like he's an SF type, almost a duplicate of gay, but his skills would be an upgrade to Bargs at this moment

What's his contract like... Didn't he get a extension last off season?

Seems to shoot awful well from three for a power forward (40+%). And we already have one of those that averages 6 rebounds.

he's a great rebounder and from what i've read is super solid on D. given the trend towards a smaller 4-man in the league, I think he'd be a great fit. not to mention he's a much more efficient scorer than bargnani.

In his defense, he started the season VERY slow.... so look at his last 10 games, he's up over 8 rebounds per game..... Ersan does have a huge motor. He'd be a good fit with this squad and he can play the 3 and 4, but he's a better mismatch at the 4.

In Bargnani's defense, Ersan has had much more capable scorers around him. I'd like to see AB with Gay in the lineup. BUt I'd agree with your points too.
