convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

Default Eddie Jordan Giving Kudos To Fans At The ACC

We may piss and moan and never be happy with our team, but ya can't question our passion and enthusiasm for Raptors ball.

It was pure, honest to goodness enthusiasm. Or a whole lot of Molsons, whatever.

Calderon on the Toronto fans: "The fans are always with us and that's why we've won a lot of games this season because they've helped us come back."

Jordan on the Air Canada Centre, where the Wiz had lost four straight: "It's a great environment to play. This crowd gets into it man and you're really at a disadvantage if you don't have the confidence and the veteran poise to get through it."

In three years covering the Wizards, I've never heard an opposing coach or player said that about Verizon Center, which too often resembles the gym in Vegas during summer league. At the VC, the staff has to put up a Duke logo or picture of the Dallas Cowboys to get fans to make noise. Pathetic.

I've been to that game, and it was BY FAR the best crowd I've ever seen at a ball game in TO. Unfortunately, it's not the norm at the ACC, and we're nowhere close of the best arenas in the league (Utah, SA, Boston etc).

raptor games are sure a helluva lot louder then boring leaf games The 2 raptor playoff games ive been to (one last year game 2, and game 6 vs philly years ago) were 2 of the loudest, most fun sporting experiences ive ever had.

Raptors fans can get loud, but I've been at the ACC when it's been as quiet as a library. This year though, it's been pretty loud - and it's all in part because of affordable ticket prices, as opposed to the Leafs games.
The only times where I've been to the ACC where it's been deafening were last year's playoff series against the Nets - particularly games 1 and 2 and when Canada defeated the Czech Republic in OT at the World Cup of Hockey 4 years ago.
