Ed Davis vs. Amir Johnson
Alright, don't kid yourselves. The minute the raps selected Davis, we all wondered how he will fit with the Raps considering Amir will likely be resigned. And since Bosh is likely not coming back, who do you guys think is
A) The better player B) The starter C) Will be the better player in the future. Predict and discuss, boys. ![]() |

![]() it's hard to tell.
johnson is in the league since 5 years and he can progress a lot if his confidence grown more and the minute too. i thnik he can be a great guy. Davis is just a rookie, don't forget this, and maybe he has strengh and energy but i think we must let him grown and come from the bench, learn, like derozan or weems this year he must learn how defend against boozer, bosh, amare, 2 gasol, bynum, camby and co.... johnson show this year he is ready to be our 4, but in the long term, i don't know which one could be the best. hope they stay together in toronto many years and become complementary. to me, like glen davis in Boston, johnson is a plus-value we must keep in the team with a long term contract. he is the young budy who can change (this year he do that few times of the bench or in the starter at the end) |

![]() ha123. I agree with you. I dn't know why but I see Ed coming in as the starter next year over Amir. I think amir is a little to small to play the starting PF position looking at the PF's in this league

![]() I don't think we'll get Bynum, he said he is going to south Africa for the World cup and after he will have a surgery around 15 July. BC won't take that risk Bynum for Bosh! I hope we deal Bosh to Rockets for Ariza/Scola/??
I want to see Davis play at least in a summer league, to see what he is capable of!! So, summer league roster will look like this: ?? Demar Sonny Davis Alabi Who will be our new Point Guard?? Belli??? Last edited by jj33; 06-25-2010 at 08:51 PM. |

![]() Amir easily! Amir started showing signs last year of developing into more of a scorer. He should easily blow away his previous offensive numbers next year especially if Bosh is gone.
Ed Davis kinda reminds me a little of a previous Raptor of the same name, Antonio. If he can develop and bring us the type of game Antonio brought us, that would be a huge success. I'd be really surprised though if he showed much in the offensive end in his first season. He would be a work in progress for sure. Defensively is where he will likely earn his playing time next season. |

![]() amir is better now, but depending on how much we see amir has improved, i think ed is still going to get the starting role throughout the season like demar. he will definately see more minutes than demar did his rookie season since the PF spot is basically him and johnson now. as for the future. i'll say ed just because he has more of a defensive backround

![]() Other than the fact we seem to be unsuccessful each year, I am happy that a majority of our roster is young(in their twenties, and even under 25). Not just young either, but with a lot of talent and potential.
Bargnani, Johnson, Weems, Derozan, Davis, Jack(assuming he's still here), Bellinelli(assuming he's still here) and Wright(assuming he's still here) and whoever we're getting from a Bosh s&t. |

![]() Well I'd say that Wright and Beli are what they are at this point. Wright is gone anyway, and I hope Beli is soon as well. He's a streaky chucker with nice court vision which he doesn't often use, and inconsistent motivation to attack the rim. He didn't progress at all during the season, and I don't expect him to from here on out.

![]() All 3 Amir... He is a better player than Davis, you never know how Davis will play in the NBA, he may flop. Right now I'd start Amir indefinitely. Amir is a young guy too and proved himself to the team, he deserves to start.

![]() Your're delusional if you are expecting playoffs next season. Draft lottery next season would be our best option as next year is a good point guard draft. The point is to do a proper rebuild this time around.
