Favors over Davis is a complete popularity contest. Davis beats him in everything, with fewer fouls and a higher PER. Favors may be the better player long term (and he's 2 years younger), but Davis was unquestionably better this season.

I thought so to, but Davis actually played 65 games this year, only 4 fewer than John Wall. It felt like more because we were so eagerly waiting Davis' Raptors debut (all of Davis' missed games were at the beginning of the season). Davis played 79% of the season, which should be enough to qualify.

Descriptions of his game range from "raw" to "no movies" to "this guy has no idea how to play the game".

Favours is a huge ball of potential - an athlete with quick movies but no defined game yet. He needs to work hard on defining his game or else he'll be another Chris Wilcox/Tyrus Thomas woulda-coulda-shoulda been player.

Davis, meanwhile, already has a niche - garbage player and power rebounder. He's sort of in the mold of a taller, skinnier Paul Millsap. Like Millsap, he's not as naturally talented as any of those guys I mentioned before, but also like Millsap he's smart, savvy and has a good bball IQ.
