When you have important things to do, like mow the lawn, carry laundry downstairs to the basement, doctors will usually give you the green light after a few weeks.

That would be me and seeing as the news was already reported yesterday in this thread, I merged (not deleted) your thread.

Arthroscopic surgery for severe ligament damage or knee displacement often involves ligament grafting. In some cases, this includes taking tissue from a tendon to use for the graft and drilling holes in the femur or tibia or both. Aftercare involves the use of crutches for six to eight weeks. A rehabilitation program for strengthening is usually suggested. Recovery times for resumed athletic activity are highly dependent on age and health.
Quote:
Normal results of ligament surgery are pain, initial immobility and inflexibility, bracing of the leg, crutch dependence, with increasing mobility and flexibility with rehabilitation. Full recovery to the level of prior physical activity can take up to three months.

got it

On an average, it takes about 4 - 6 weeks of time for the patient to recover completely from the meniscus surgery. The patient might be placed on crutches for a few days until he regains strength for walking on his own. If the surgery is a minor one, then he might be able to walk on his own. Though, the person may be able to resume his work within 4 weeks of surgery, it may take longer than 2 months for the muscles to regain their full strength. Strenuous activities can be resumed only after 2 months of proper rest and care. Also read about medial meniscus tear.

for a ligament tear, you need to give it time for the ligament to grow back together. for a meniscus, they just cut out the torn piece, so you are just waiting for the incision to heal. they cut three small holes (one stitch each) to insert the camera and the instruments, then they cut out the bit of cartilage and remove it. the muscles are only inactive as long as the incisions take to heal. i had it done and then went to a concert the next day.

Agree meniscus is way less severe than ligament. In 1990 during soccer WC Baresi tore his meniscus underwent arthroscopic and 15 days later played the final game agains Brasil and was one of the best on the field (but he missed a penalty). So maybe Ed will be fine in 2/3 weeks

Will Do. For some reason my posts/threads get delete or moved more often than not, so while I do apologize for tweaking unnecessarily, it gets irritating after a while.

Good lord! He had no knee issues whatsoever going into the draft. If he did he would have likely dropped a lot further.

You're just to slow dude. You got a lot more work ahead of you if you want to beat Acie and Jeff.

How about this?

I'll start leaving a redirect on the forum page that takes you where it was moved to.

Instead of calling someone a dick, you should just go to your profile and look at your list of posts to see if it's been deleted or just moved. If something is deleted the post stays there and is edited but only if it's offensive.

3-4 months minimum to return for a rookie that is already green is pretty much Blake Griffin Territory. Ed Davis is not a factor for this team now this year. Might as well forget he even remains on the team.

What a fucking pisstank of shit bubbles.

where did you get that timeframe from sj? that's ridiculous. blake griffin had microfracture surgery. this is a meniscus-related arthroscopy. that's like comparing a pinto and a superjudge.
