I think he could be a good pick and pop player to change the offense. Amir at PF doing pick and rolls, switch it up and pick and pop with Ed.

Less than Amare and better than Bosh?

Im no Bosh homer but Bosh is as good as it gets on offense for a big man in this league. Bosh in his rookie year had all the tangibles that Ed does not have.

However, Ed will be a really efficient big men on offense like a Joakim Noah, Bynum, Nene etc.

Love the kid.
Has natural instinct for the game ... great touch around the basket.
He is already our best defender and should get better ... especially when you consider the injuries he's had.
Hope he works his butt off in the summer and comes back with some extra muscle and shooting range. Should become a solid starter ...
We may now have 2 real starters ..
DD if he continues to improve and Davis.
Not sure about AB yet ... lets see what happens in the off-season

In games where he's played 28 or more minutes this season

11.1PPG, 10.4RPG, 1.4BPG

Davis should be our starting PF next season.

Also, among rookies Davis is 13th in PPG, and shooting .600 on the season (best among rookies with more than 4 PPG, 4th among all rookies). He is 4th in RPG, ORPG, and DRPG. He is 3rd in BPG, and 6th in double-doubles on the year. He is also 6th in nba.com's efficiency rating. He is only 10th in MPG.

Who cares about that shit. He could have been like Garnett... but he focused on getting his contract. Let's see how long that block stat holds up...

And yeah Bargnani could've been like Dirk. Who cares about dumb comparisons.

I'm lovin Davis these days, then again, I thought he was a great player after his first few games of the season. He and DeMar are a nice starting point for a team, with Caldy distributing the ball like he has lately, we're a consistent 3 and solid centre away from competing, let's hope DeMar and Ed don't leave for greener pastures after their rookie contracts.

Y'know what? I'm not worrying about it, I think they're classy enough to sign another few years with the teams that drafted them but it's not irrational to have that thought somewhere in the back of your mind. I remember hearing the first news that Bosh wasn't going to re-sign in 2010 about a year and a few months before it actually happened and sure enough it did. Anything can happen, all the GM of the Raptors can do, whether it's ColanJello or someone else, is win.

you're right, it's not irrational, but very few guys don't sign their one extension... meaning davis is here for 4 more years minimum and likely 6 or more.

I also think Bosh would be a major lesson learned that you can't trust guys that pretend to not know. Utah pulled off a great precedent that will impact the league as much as a new CBA will.

I hope he becomes more like Charles Barkley. He's already great on the offensive glass and rebounds well. He just needs to put together his outside game and back to the basket game.

to me Bargs is a PF and obviously so is ED. i think we HAVE to get rid of Bargs this summer and let Ed have the PF spot. playing Bargs at C is NEVER gonna win the raps anything, never mind a championship, which should be the goal.

Ed, DD, maybe a good draft pick this year, a decent trade to move Bargs, and we might start to have something here.

We also need to adress the need for 3pt shooters. We currently dont have any great shooters on the team. So Bargnani spreads the floor as well as adds some great interior offense.

Couldn't agree more. This summer, draft a PG, trade Bargs, Jose, TPE and see what you can get and go from there. IMO Irving, Walker or Barnes + Derozan, Amir, Davis, is the start of something that could eventually be special.

this is why he should start, Amir has peaked, has one good game and 5 bad ones, Davis will bring more consistency and defence that we desperatly need,

plus the sooner accepts that he is coming off hte bench the better off he'll be and the team, we need him off the bench to bring that energy

for being the 13th overall pick he's definitely been good, definitely better than a bunch of the guys ahead of him in the draft and appears that he will be a good player
i can say we definitely did good this draft

Almost half the minutes but more rebounds:

Season Stats:

Andrea Bargnani: 2,138 minutes = 324 total rebounds
Ed Davis: 1,154 minutes = 342 total rebounds
