Default Dwayne Casey is a hypocrite

Whatever happened to accountability for players. It seems like Casey doesn't hesitate to call out Ed Davis publicly through the media but when Bargnani as he has plays like turd for the whole season the coach praises him and continues to give him shots & minutes. When Bargs comes back accountability goes out the window again and Andrea will again cut Ed's minutes, who is clearly the better player at this point.

andrea is out and will be for some time. Worrying about what coach will do in a month or so is useless, Ed is finally getting his time to shine, let's just be happy with that.

Honestly?...This is a useless thread.

We just won 4 in a row, and you are arguing about what a guy who's out for 3 more weeks will be doing when he returns?

Lol

We dont know, and won't for a while.

It's far from a useless thread, he should have played a lot more in the 4th tonight. You have to wonder that if Bargs isn't in the lineup and Kleiza plays down the stretch instead of Davis wtf will happen when the Italian comes back.

They mentioned it just now on the Wrap about why Kleiza was playing late in the 4th. Something about Ed Davis guarding Charlie V at the Perimeter or something, really wasn't paying attention.

I'm sure Casey will explain it in his PG

considering they were playing a zone, it makes sense to have as many 3 point threats out there as possible.. doesn't it? rationalize people!

Casey went with matchups. I wasn't thrilled with it, but it wasn't the end of the world.

As for Bargnani coming back, he won't.

I don't believe Casey held Bargs accountable and frankly due to this was losing the respect of the players. It also occurred during a bad stretch where Casey was struggling with his rotations, etc ... Frankly, I blame Casey more than Bargs ...
It's the Coaches job to hold people accountable.

The coach also needs to follow orders. Here's a thought - maybe Kleiza is being showcased?

I was very happy that Jonas was inserted rather than Aaron after Amir left with the bad ankle. This team fought through some physical play and didn't entirely let the other side dictate the lineup. There is progress.

As a former teacher, I can tell you that I was harder on the students that had potential and didnt try hard enough. The slow kids that never had a chance to succeed, I was a little easier on.

That's different to holding people accountable. It's called realistic expectations.

I agree completely. As I said before, some of the things DC has said to the media is counter-inductive to a team effort and personal development.

I would think in crunch time you worry more about winning
If they care about showcasing lines, they can start him and let him play in the first half or as long as he produces.

Kleiza's playing because he brings a toughness that we need.... Monroe and Maxiel were having their way with our young frontcourt for most of the game on thier offensive side.

He does have a nice competitive edge, which is why i wanted him to start at the 3 and don't mind him at the 4 sometimes. He's very streaky though,so if his shot is struggling you have to keep him off the floor or he'll keep jacking up shots.
