NOOOOOOO!!!

ffs.

P.S. If BC has said it's not a talent issue, and this is saying there's no coaching issue... well, I think you guys see what I'm getting at here.

The Raptors should play handball instead of basketball

A good coach is one who gets the team to play well both on the individual level (in terms of buying into the defensive system and motivating them to put in the effort to match what that system espouses) and on the team level (in terms of dictating the Xs and Os and demanding the unselfish play to carry it out), regardless of roster changes.

Look at Jacque Vaughn, or Frank Vogel, or Mike Dunlap, or Mark Jackson, or Monty Williams or Tyrone Corbin. ALL of them are in their first head coaching position and ALL of them have had to deal with either a severe lack of talent on the roster or considerable personnel changes, or both. It's no coincidence the bottom-of-the-barrel talent level Magic, Bobcats and Hornets are playing better than us in spite of that, or that teams with talent (Pacers, Warriors, Jazz) who lost long tenured coaches managed to maintain or even improve their teams performance.

There's an old adage in basketball, "Players win, coaches lose" Dwane Casey is definitely the one losing us games here.

We got younger when we needed to get older... not good. It's not all on Casey. A lot of new players, younger players, injuries, and a shitty glue guy.... hard to completely fault him.

Agree, but Raps is in need of serious shakeup. They need to establish a winning mentality and i don't think that DC is the right person to do that. He had his chance. I think that players don't believe in his coaching system. This "team" is in the middle of nowhere, so bring in new coach, or shakeup roster.

We're on course to win 18 games this year! That's worse than our inaugural season! f*ck any/all excuses:

'95-'96 Roster:
BJ Armstrong, Tony Massenburg, Andres Guibert, Keith Jennings, Dontonio Wingfield, Doug Smith, Jerome Kersey, Zan Tabak, Willie Anderson, Ed Pinckney, Acie Earl, B.J. Tyler, John Salley, Oliver Miller --- Rookies: Damon Stoudamire, Jimmy King

my biggest problem with casey is, that i don't see the same casey this season as last season; where's the casey who talks with Bargnani about his old coach in italy and confirms that he will kick his ass just like him? he just talks soft and defends his players, i want the the old casey but not he new one, kick the new casey the f***k out

We all forget about this due to panic.....and for the sake of one liners and zingers. You should post this 50 times a day on this board.

The biggest issue is that Casey promised that players would be held accountable, and he wouldn't look past any mistakes this season. That turned out to be almost entirely untrue. And it put him in a lose/lose situation.

What boggles my mind is how the status quo persists at this point, outside of changes forced upon the team by injuries.

Do you want him to react on per posession basis? Or can you name a loss that was entirely accountable to any one player? Without whom we would be great and shiny?

Smitch did it, nobody liked it.

Oh, I think it was the wrong approach for him to take when he's got three rookies coming in, and a mish mash of a roster still in play. It was the right approach for a real NBA team, which we may never be.

I put 80% of the blame for this season on DC. He's probably the worst all -around coach/man manager I have ever seen.
