Every rim that is used to regulation game is 10 feet. I could dunk on a nine foot net when I was like in grade 7 no joke. I was like 5'9 then. Still the same height and have never dunked a 10 foot rim haha, don't think I even will either, though I can sometimes, when I am in my prime shape touch the rim .

Yup, you and me both. I'm 5'9" and haven't grown at all since grade 8, but I was a monster back in the day! hahah...

Like I said before seven ankle sprains didn't help my vert much either. I had to make the shift from a vicious, no-remorse slasher to a smart jump-shooting point guard.

How boring!!!!

i was thinking, maybe we should have a dunk contest on Raptors Forums later when it gets closer to summer? where basicly people apply to be in it and they send actual videos of themselves dunking? how about it?

ok lets wait until everybody here is 6-5 then it will be fair, actually i could be 6-1 and probably do it still. but the main idea is dunking and creativity its not about 10' rims or 11' rims or 12' rims nobody here is in the nba, and i believe alot people here are 5'10 so... i think its fair that there is a 9' rim minimum! Its also a fun idea stop bein a hater

Fair enough. This is a basketball forum, so I expect that, at the very least, a few people around here will have well above average physical abilities or features. Trane's size 14 feet would probably seem crazy to some people, but my brother, who is a fucking giant, wears the same size shoes. So, I think it's equally possible that a person on this forum could have crazy leaping ability. It's just a matter of who is telling the truth and who is bullsthit. I'm sure somebody is telling the truth, and it's probably you, given that cb4real only just disclosed the fact that he was dunking on a 9'3 rim....lol.

Jumping 41' inches is pretty crazy, but I still believe you could have pulled off that dunk, even if you're unintentionally overestimating your vert. I never knew anybody in high school who could jump quite that high. Two of my high school teamates had verticals in the 36 inch range, and both could dunk very, very easily. I know that their verts were in that range becuase we used to have to do "spike jumps" and "standing jumps" when we tried out for divisional and provincial teams. Most of us were left in their wake. I'm pretty sure you could have pulled off the Smith dunk at your height with only a 35 inch vert. If you had a 41 inch vert (and it's possible that you did), then you would have been capable of doing some really nasty dunks.

I actually played my first game of basketball since I was in grade 10 last night.... Did ok really..

I tried not to handle the ball much because that isn't my style... Managed to get 2 blocks though and a handful of boards... I'm a hustle guy haha

I'm 5'11 so I'm pretty pleased with that...

The three of us (Duca, Zachus, arm) should start a "I stopped growing in Junior High" club. In grade 9, I barely made it to 6 feet and then just stopped growing. It sucked because, relative to the other players, I was quite tall in Junior High. During my first 4 years of ball my coaches usually used me as a 4 or 5. In high school I had to try and play the 3. At the varsity level (grade 11/12), you can't play the 4 or the 5 when you're only 6 feet. The thing that sucked the most was, for most of my life, my teachers, coaches and my family doctor always told me I was going to be really tall, since my Dad was huge and my older brother is a giant. I lost the genetic lottery....big time.
