Draft Updates

Barnes, Henson Close To Decisions On Draft - RealGM Wiretap

Looks like Henson and Barnes might declare, which is good in our case :)

Irving Weighing Options In Regards To Draft - RealGM Wiretap

Irving may still be on the fence on this. If he doesn't declare, then everybody else moves up one spot.

Kemba Walker Hints At Return To UConn - RealGM Wiretap

For those high about Walker, this might be a problem if he decides to come back to UConn. Let's hope they lose their game and he declares for the draft :P

Thompkins, Leslie Declare For Draft - RealGM Wiretap

Decision To Declare For Draft Affected By Possible Lockout - RealGM Wiretap

2011 NBA Draft: Kyrie Irving, Jimmer Fredette and the 50 Best Prospects | Bleacher Report

Here is the Bleacher's Report of the Top 50 Draft Picks

Top 5 are

Kyrie Irving
Derrick Williams
Enes Kanter
Kemba Walker
Perry Jones

Don Vito 04-05-2011 04:52 PM

Why would Kemba go back to UCONN? He just won a championship and doesn't need to go back at all. He is considered one of the top picks and its pointless to go back. If he doesn't declare for the draft then this is the weakest draft in NBA history. :tombstone:

jeffb 04-05-2011 04:56 PM

I would say the top5 is (The order is up in the air though)

Irving
Walker
Kanter
Williams
Sullinger

I guess Barnes could also be in there as well? Such a crap shoot.

EggsToTheBBQ 04-05-2011 04:56 PM

Enes Kanter FTW.

I'll bet the reason Kanter's taking his time coming back from injury is that a lottery team has already contacted him and told him they're drafting him if available.

Don Vito 04-05-2011 05:04 PM

My top 5 picks are:

1. Kemba Walker
2. Derrick Williams
3. Perry Jones
4. Brandon Knight
5. Terrence Jones

Barnes, Irving, and Kanter are overrated to the max.

None of these players are overrated.

After the game, I think it mentioned that Kemba Walker had graduated after only three years in school.

EggsToTheBBQ 04-05-2011 05:30 PM

Enes Kanter
Jonas Valanciunas

In no particular order.

Theres no such thing as a three year degree. He had a four year degree and finished it in three by working hard.

good to know... there are three year degrees in Canada though, and such are considered the equivalent of a 4 year degree in the US.... doesn't sound like such an amazing feat, but commendable nonetheless.

That was the case when I started University in the late 90s. It was because Ontario still had 5 years of high school.

It's not like that any more, though.

just google it and do some reading.... it may take some time, but I could simply ask you to prove what I said was nonsense. lol.

NaturallyStoned 04-05-2011 06:29 PM

I did google it and found nothing. Anyway, thanks EggsToTheBBQ, figured that was the case. Working on my masters degree right now and the American students in my program were at a similar level to us when they entered it.
