Let's see how it goes. I'm not going to argue with people who justify support of blatantly losing. I understand that it "might" increase the percentage of obtaining a higher pick but it's still a gamble. Look, a team with less than a 3% chance got the 1st pick.

Lastly, in this weak draft the difference between 5th and 12th is not that significant.
How long have you been following Raptors boards?

Well you guys do have a gem in Derozan and at PF with Amir and Davis. Unfortunately I think you need to trade either Amir or Davis because having both limits each of their minutes and none are strong enough at C. If you trade one you can make-up in the weak positions: C, SG, PG.

Summer FA will have some Cs. Hopefully BC won't do something really stupid such as to sign Igoudala at 15m+ a year.

Either way I'm done with my thoughts today. At least you guys are flexible with cap space and can maybe improve in the summer. The NBA is like the WWE anyway if you know what I mean......................

What's next??? Your going to come to our house and tell us how to cook our steaks? Lmao

Anyways I trust/'have faith in' sports as much as I trust the country hosting them... The NBA is a reflection of America... Which nobody seems to trust and rightly so.

As Canadian fans we have been disrespected by: our own players, ownership/managment and fellow NBA peers many times above the average lol

Anyways I would take a few years of sucking over a decade of mediocracy

O.k. Bye, Jerryd. Stop playing so much ping-pong and work on ball distribution. Have a good summer and see you in Toronto when Caribana is on. I hear half the NBA is here anyway.

meh, this draft is so-so at best, I'd rather suck another year and get a chance at a superstar-level player in a very tough draft. Especially if the season is only 50 games or so (less pain).

The cavs might seem lucky, but if irving turns out to be just a 2nd tier star like Bosh was for us, they'll improve just enough to become a .500 team for the next 7 years.

If we get the same bad luck in next year's draft, that would suck big time though.

Last time I checked 5 was ahead of 6, 7, and 8, where Sac, Wash and Detroit are picking.

We didn't legitimately tank. Tank Nation was literally an inside joke. Triano played guys to the point of serious injury. If anyone legitimately tanked it was Cleveland and Minnoesota.

Conspiracies aside, tanking does not work in the short-term and is an insult to real fans. It may ensure a top 5 pick but what does that entail before a weak draft?

Tanking is for losers. I visited this board several teams when my team played the Raptors and I was appalled by how many "let's intentionally tank this game to get Kyrie Irving" comments there were. Cheering for your team to lose, and then have this happen, is a shame. Some non-playoff team fans support the tank but only one or two actually receive the benefits.

I feel obliged to post this. Hopefully next season Toronto fans will be more supportive of their team, even if the next class of draftees will be superior.
i really don't want to sound like an asshole but i'm going to come off as one anyways so fuck it.

first off, i'm a loyal and diehard Raptors fan so when some blazer's fan (assuming that by your name) who probably knows nothing about the Raptors comes here and tries to tell me how to support my team it pisses me off. please, don't try and come over here with your "tanking is for losers" bullshit as if you weren't for it when your team was trying to lock up that first pick in the 06 draft.

you're not obliged to do shit, your free to visit the site and voice your opinion but don't try to come here and feel as if your doing us a favour. the Raptors and their fans already got shit on today and your just trying to smear it, and frankly, i won't have it. i apologize to the people of this forum if i'm coming off as hot-headed or giving the site a 'bad name' but i won't have some fucking blazers fan try and tell me how to support my team.

Yeah, we covered that in the draft lottery thread. I agree. I'm as guilty as anyone of joking about tanking, in the sense that I wanted the young guys to get as many minutes and touches as possible and I wasn't going to lose my shit if we lost. But, as the season went on, it wasn't even an issue, since the number of injuries limited Jay's choices anyway. I mean, we dressed 8 fucking players some games, and we had Julian Wright as our theoretical back-up point guard during a few games...hahahaha

With all due respect, Tank Nation anything is a concept for a bunch of dellusional fans who want this team to lose just cause we have a shity team in place. i would give up a pick if there was the slightest chance to see this team to make the playoffs with the team we had in place, why cause thats just good basketball. No team imo should ever aim to tank, sets up bad qualities in players.

So the concept of tanking is just effed up as it is, a true fan will never want to see thier team tank, if you lose yea you get the benefit of a pick, but winning is what matters most...

Not a pretty site. I personally think we should trade the pick and another peice, get Flynn and Anthony Randolph, and continue gathering young talent... There is no one in this draft that really screams at me anyways, not like the way these two guys did when watching them get drafted.

This will be our 4th lottery pick since he's come here and unless he trades it (which should seriously be considered imo), he'll have kept all of them.

Everyone who was part of tank nation feels really stupid right about now. If people cheer for tanking next season too it'll be absolutely pathetic.
