Default Doug Smith: "Let's Make A Deal"

I agree with Doug. Moon has definitely been one of the feel good story's so far this season, but enough is enough. We need someone better and stronger to start at SF. Moon will still get his minutes, but I think at this point he should move to the bench too. I mean, Parker's been no better on defense, but at least you get better offense from him with a higher percentage when it comes to shooting. When Moon's shoots I just hope and pray because its a crap shoot on whether or not he hits it. JMO.

And I like Jamario Moon, good kid, heckuva story, fine athlete but maybe itís time for the experiment to end? We were trying to recall that last time he had what you might call a good game. Heck, they ended up using Jose Calderon to guard Ginobili on a few possessions last night because no one else stood a chance.

Maybe nothing comes of Colangeloís calls but heís got to make them, rather than wait and take them.

The past several games, the Raps have shown they are in dire need of an athletic SF who can score. The Ideal player is Mike Miller, but it's not happening. The other intriguing player is Ron Artest. However, it's not known whether he would hinder the team more than he would help. On top of that, you don't know what the Kings would want for him - especially when he can opt out at the end of the year.. One thing is for sure, Ron would bring much needed toughness, scoring and defense to the team. I think he would love Toronto. It's like his hometown of New York, only cleaner and friendlier - i think that could entice him to stay. What about an offer of Kapono, Dixon and a future 1st?

Why isnt TOR trading for Miller happening? Its not like theyd ask for much back. IMO he'll be gone before the deadline anyway. Give Memphis Rasho and our 1st and its a done deal.

Warrick = Graham

So physically gifted, yet so soft and dumb.

Rasho is an expiring deal next year, not this year - there's no way he walks away from 8 million +. Memphis want to clear space for this year, that's why a Rasho deal would never happen...well, not never happen, but not that likely.

I don't think Delfino's the answer. I mean, I love having him off the bench, but he's wildly inconsistent to be a starter. Then again, what do you have to lose by starting him for a few games and see what happens, however, I don't think he would perform better by being insterted into the starting lineup.

I agree fans overrate Delfino, but I don't hold it against him. His shot is inconsistent, his shot selection at times is poor and his free throw shooting is actually pretty crappy too for a guard, but I really like that he leaves it all out there, usually plays good D and looks to get his teammates involved.

Maybe his shot selection gets better when he has more minutes, I dont know, I love moon, but if he doesnt block or rebounds, I think delfino brings much more than him.
Rebounds, hustle, points, defense, takes it to the rim. Only thing I really dont like about besides his shot selection is his free-throw shooting.

apparently memphis wants to package miller with brian cardinal, who was 2 years left at 6mil/yr. I don't think there's even a question of us accepting that - since Bryan's goal is to have (some) cap-space in 2009.

Warricks a PF, getting him would be redundant.

says whom? memphis?
he'd play as our SF.
IMO, he's undersized as a PF.
he's 6'9 on a athletic frame.

he'd just be required to run the floor and do the garbage things, especially grab boards.
just because he's played as a PF for most of his career doesnt mean jack.

He cant guard SF's and he doesnt have enough range to spread the floor for us. Hes a bigman off the bench man. Hes the skinnier Brandon Bass, and theres nothing wrong with that. He'll be a solid 7th-8th man off any teams bench for a long time with his good help D, quickness, good 15 footer, and rebounding capabilities. Hes Brandon Bass with a more well known name.
