The peroson he named was Michael finley.

barf.......
doug smith is a moron.
i bet he fell asleep watching the Spurs/Clippers game last night.
the commentators talked about Finley for about 3 minutes while he was shooting FTs, about how far he's come from his Dallas days and how well he plays for an older veteran.
LOL.

we would have to give up too much to get the guy. If we could get him for cheap then sure, but i suspect we would have to move AB and 2 other guys to make that happen. i don't see BC getting an older guy by giving up a couple of younger guys.

you think finley is that valuable???
AB and 2 others???
LOL.
you're confusing finley 2008 with finley circa 2000.

If we could get him for a draft pick, sure. He'd be good to have off the bench for 15MPG but he wouldn't put us in contention for the EC! Doug Smith is high on something.

Finley looked like he had nothing left in the tank last year. He might be alright in spurts off of the bench, but if the Raps were to go that route I think AP would be better in that role if we could find a way to get someone better to start at the 2.

yeah I'm not seeing finley as the solution to our swing/2 guard issues. maybe for the vet min for depth off the bench, but putting up into EC elitehood. not in the slightest.

I don't think he is that valuable at all. But with the years he has in and the contract he has, he won't go cheaply unless they do the McDyess thing and buy him out and let him shop as a fire sale item. As is, he will command a decent value on the trade market. i just don't think he is worth what they would ask for him.

Honestly if we can upgrade the 2 or 3 i would be happy.Preferably the 3!Finley wouldn't be an upgrade at the 2 and would be a bench player and would be there mostly for the playoffs.Which i'm actually a fan of doing so if we don't anything off the roster for.Ain't gonna happen.

I agree jeff, not sure how much good he would be off the bench though. IF jamario and jason start to play, he would be a 3rd option at best. he is too small to help up front and too slow to play the off-guard and too slow to cover most 3 spot guys these days. I kind of like the front line the way it is and hope that have Bargs move up front will allow both JM and JK to play solid minutes off the bench until one of them can make Smitch sit AB down.

Nahhh! Jomario would then become our 3rd option.

if jamario becomes the third option, then he should be traded or considered expendable.

He wouldn't be much of trade bait considering his meke salary unless he's a throw in.And yes he's very expendable imo.I'm starting to doubt he'll be re-signed after this season.

thus the tag reads "trade bait" or "expendable" I think he has floated himself a trip back to euro ball... too bad, if he played like he cared a bit, fans would love him!
