Doesn't it seem as if Jose is the odd man out?

At least the last 3 games. It seems to me he appears to be the odd man out with Jack playing really good, he seems ineffective most of the time, isn't being aggressive anymore and isn't looking to get his shot or take it to the rim as of late. And the last couple games Belinelli has finished the games and he's been on the bench to end games. It's pretty evident Turkoglu plays alot better with Jack/Beli then with Jose as well. I really like Jose, but it just seems to me that it's the begining of the end of him in Toronto and there is absolutely no talk of him starting again. I'm ok now if he stays or goes, but the writing is on the wall imo.

Thoughts?

It's clear where you're coming from.

However, maybe Jose is what we need. I think we're a pretty damn good team right now, and it's possible we're just gonna roll with this lineup. Derozan, Beli, Wright, Weems, I have no issues with those guys. I don't buy the whole we need another wing. It's a sweet luxury to have two point guards, and I think we should see where it takes us. As for bigs, once Evans comes back, we're clearly stacked. So keeping a sweet backup point guard is perfect.

I don't mind if we keep him, i like him and we're playing well. But it just seems like there's no discussion of him starting again, and it seems at least to me that something is off.

I like his Accent.

Also, I think he is here to stay as general and leader of the bench squad. I just don't want him to be out there with Jack at the same time.

IMO Weems is the odd man out rather then Jose. He seems to have lost his spot in Jay's rotation the last few games. I know what you're saying though. I smell a trade coming before the deadline with Jose being involved.

the only thing this team needs is consistency from turkoglu.

teams improve defensivly with time (except if u have garnett)

Agreed. Personally I never thought of Jose as a starter and I know I may get jumped for that but so be it. He'll come back and have some quality games for Toronto it just won't happen consistently

If we are playing the odd man out game. I think Patrick O'bryant wins by a landslide

DVS 01-24-2010 10:52 PM

Its a bench some guys don't get burn. Competition of minutes are awesome. Raptors dont' have a fantastic bench but on the other hand they didn't even have one in past years

He was never in, so hard to argue that one.

If we can get a quality player for Jose + filler, Let's do it.:yeah:

I love our bench.

Beli, Amir, Evans (when he comes back), Jose, Rasho,Weems and even Banks and Wright. Pretty happy with our depth overall.

Jose is good and he is a good PG for the second unit. If we can get a good deal for im however BC should pull the rigger

I don't know if the Jazz will do it or want to, but I would like to see Jose+filler=AK47.

0nekhmer 01-24-2010 10:56 PM

it's because our bench has come alive. (beli, wright) We would be noticing Jose, and Weems a lot more if Beli didn't step up so much :P

Did you guys see his defence today? Seriously go replay the game.

Every pick and roll is an automatic basket. He doesn't gaurd the ball or switch. He gets caught in no man's land. It's disgusting, I don't think he's trying.

That being said... his offence is as good as his defence is bad.

It kinda surprises me. He has the tools to be a good defender. He has the speed, I think he just needs practice with the defensive coach.

He literally ran away from Farmar when Farmar went baseline.

I really like him coming off the bench, but I don't think he does. His frustration at needing stitches had a lot to do with his general frustration I think. It's too bad. I hope he can accept a new role or find a better one for himself elsewhere. I don't like seeing him frustrated and so unfocused.

I agree completely. He's not his usual chipper/positive self the last week or so and he appears disheartened. IMO this reminds me of the T.J situation except it's Jose in the reverse position this time around.
