Default Does He Know What He's Doing???

After tonight's game I'm a little concerned with the coaching. I'll admit I didn't watch all of it, but from my dad's outburst I'm pretty sure it's the same redundant story. This team has difficulty performing down the stretch, aside from ridiculous rotations (Calderon-Jack), I feel like there are things Jay doesn't address in his practices. For example, why did Dunleavy get that rebound and he was outside the arc, or why is Hedo chucking, or you could ask why Jarret ran down the clock and shoots a contested shot. I can continue and ask what Bosh was doing on that last play? Personally, I feel that this team won't go anywhere with him at the reigns. It's like every team we've played against intentionally brings out two small guards to provoke Triano into using that stupid combo. Whichever player we bring into this team may not make much of an impact when an actual system is non-existent. The Bosh Iso's and the Bargnani Pick and Pops are so predictable. Players have their off nights(hedo) it's your job to properly utilize your guys. Even if it means benching him.

I've been concerned for a year now, even with our recent winning. Jay is just not experienced enough and looks lost at times and late in games goes with the same players despite who's playing well or not playing well.

The rotations still aren't tight. Particularly being in the 2nd game of a 2 in 2 nights, they need to do a better job of keeping everyone fresh. It is getting pretty late in the season to keep blaming all the changes in the off-season for this, Triano should have it down, particularly against Indiana, in a game in which you lead by 23, you should be able to get everyone a little extra pine time. Indiana doesn't really pose any matchup troubles for the Raptors as long as guys have some energy and defend the 3 point line. The Pacers were hardly running an offence, it was basically everyone stand around, watch Granger drive and wait for the kick-out.

Well you don't go out and get "Mr. Fourth Quarter" then feed Bosh in the paint for the whole fourth...

I really think Bosh needs to share the touches late in games more...

I think he made mistakes, at least judging by my limited understanding of the game

but fire him? Are you crazy? This team has improved dramatically on defense since the beginning of the season. I think triano is doing a very good job for a rookie coach. Of course he'll make mistakes, waht do you expect from him ... As long as I see progress, I'm happy.

I would gladly accept an elite coach here, but until then, triano deserves a chance to work on this team.

I feel as if getting to the next level, requires improvement in all areas. Everything has to be balanced. Coaching and Players

I think I heard on tV Triano telling to team that they only need to hit 7 field goals in the 2nd half in order to win the game

That loss really hurt. If that happened in our homecourt we'd be as funny as Chicago.

In a B2B where the starters looked like they were running out of gas, I wondered why Jay didn't go to his bench more. There were so many opportunities for the fastbreak in this game what with the Pacers chucking up so many 3 pters. Especially in the 4th Q, when Jay put Hedo back in, he killed all momentum a couple times by walking the ball up court. I would have loved seeing Beli, Sonny, DD, Rasho and Amir running the floor together at that point. The passing and the shots taken would have been unpredictable, and there would have been better energy on defense imo (and with Beli handling the ball, he would end up not taking alot of shots ).
