Until Bosh is leading this team to an 82 and 0 record with no losses in the playoffs while averaging 35 20 10 5 and 5, there will always be people saying that he should bring more. Its part of being a fan, setting goals for your favorite players and wanting them to exceed them.
I'll take a playoff round win.

Fair enough, although he performed well in the playoff last year, it was the rest of the team who dropped off.

Leaf fans are deluded for supporting the leafs?

fuck a goat.

media and other fans alike are far to involved in sport as it is, if your team sucks, and you need to go support another that doesn't, you need your head read.

I think some of you are missing the overal perspective. Nobody (I think/hope) argues that Bosh is an exceptional player. The problem with Bosh is that he is being paid maximum salary, the same as Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Garnett or Duncan. And he's not playing at that level yet. It's not his fault - he is doing his best, and there are many other players in the league that give far less value for the money they're being paid.

We all want and expect Bosh to be a 1st NBA team kind of player - and he's just not there yet.

As far as his deficiencies (in my opinion), the most glaring ones are his defense and his poor decision making at times. His rebounding and jump shooting have declined the past season as well - but hopefully it was due to his injuries.

We can't blame a lack of playoff success on Bosh. Teams key in on him. Maybe, just maybe we should look at the other guys on the team, the ones who should step up also. Maybe we would've won a round last year if one of our PGs knew how to play defense. You can't just say, look at how poorly Chris played. Teams change, they know he's our strength and they take it away from us. It's up to the other players to attempt to alleviate the pressure HE is facing.

Good post, but has Kobe won anything really? KG found no playoff success for the longest of times.

We can't tie this strictly to salary otherwise, as you can see, it opens up an entirely new debate.

The question should be, do we see Bosh in the top 5 in his position. If so, then he should be classified as an exceptional player.

Not at all genious, simply put he's getting attention for being one of the best players in the league.I guess to you it's undeserved. It reminds me of Leaf fans that hate Matts Sundin.

Blaming him for a lack of playoff success is like blaming Sundin for the leafs woes. It's rediculous, because they weren't surrounded with the best team.

If 24PPG/9RPG is disappearing (especially with the attention he gets) and is pathetic than i guess most players sucked A$$ in the playoffs.Bosh, i believe was 6th in PPG average in the playoffs.Yeah that's horrible.

I think it's more what ya do when the shit is on the line. Can you contain on D, can you make the big buckets down the stretch.

I think anyone would have to admit, there's questions as to how well Bosh performed under those criteria.

All in all, he was better last year than in the year previous, he's getting there.

Leaf fans just like being shit on by MLE, disrespected and laughed at as they continually reach in their wallets to support a subpar product giving them no reason to want to improve the team, im a recovering leaf fan and i wont watch a game, buy any merchandise or otherwise til MLE shows us some respect instead of these jokes of a team they put on the ice.

I think it's as simple as that - as franchise players go, Bosh is only middle of the pack. If you look at the top player on the 30 NBA teams, many of them are better than Bosh.

And I don't think ANYBODY argues that Bosh is an exceptional player - it's just that he's not one of those very rare players truly capable of dominating the game. But we all hope he'll get there, and soon.
