Wow. Benzo looks so wrong, so often. I thought that wasn't allowed.

I wouldn't say so, but if it helps you sleep at night.

You could take some notes, though, people have made some good points without a crazy long winded diatribe full of big words that mean nothing.

I think I have a new slogan for my site: "Crazy long-winded diatribes full of big words that mean nothing." It's got a nice ring to it.

I see things for what they are....not with rose colored glasses, that can even have some people saying Ford was good for the team last year. Alas...it will take time to prove me right again..like it has before...again...and again...and again....

I'm not sure what the hell all that means. I think it might be some kind of crying out for love and acceptance. And really there's no need Benzo. We all love you man. That includes myself. You're the most loveable sick fuck I have ever encountered.

Just stop taking my long-winded diatribes so fucking seriously, and stop re-interpreting all the other stuff of varying lengths in twisted stupid ways, and you'll make out ok. Yeah I know - you won't do any of that shit and you'll still make out fine, and insults are certain to follow my even suggesting otherwise.

But I still love you. Yep - I said it!

i think a lot of us expect perfection from particular people (most notably mitchell, bosh, ford) while anything less is unacceptable. based on the fans expectations so young into their careers, yes we take them for granted.

as for bargs, i never understood the selection. they talked about how he could play center, and since he can't he'll never work out the way BC envisioned it.

just because you don't understand, that doesn't make it wrong ... in time you will realize what incredible value Bargnani can have, whether he plays center or not. And I'm really curious what makes you think he can't play center?

It means he remains negative, negative, negative about most things and sits back, then when something goes wrong or someone doesn't play at an All star level and the he says "i told you so".

Like CB4, he's not a fan of his and says he's overrated. At some point he'll have an off season or go down with a major injury and he'll turn around and say "see he's a bum,i told you so".

And don't forget, he's always proven right? Oy, LOL

Listen dink...

You don't know me.....and you're wrong..Im the guy who sits here and says Bargs will be all-star and better than Bosh..

I think Bargs has the most talent on the team, I said Jose was better than TJ, long before it was even a discussion.

So please continue to bark from the cheapseats.

I am accually a very big raptor homer and on most occassions probably overrate our players...

unless they are

Bosh
Hump
Defino

,....k I'll stop.

There can never be any more talk about underrating Bosh, I listened to talk radio this weekend, and the guy according to all reports and fan calls, will be the second comming of Bill Russell now.

That's what happens when you're the best player on the team (raptors),an all-star, win a gold medal, leading team USA in rebounding in the process.People/Media will hype him up.He is one of the best players in the League.

It's safe to say that Bosh won't be underrated around the league after the Olympics. Of course, that was never the point of this thread or my original blog post. The point was that too many Raptors fans take him for granted, and some so-called "fans" would rather nitpick and exaggerate his deficiencies than acknowledge how fortunate we are to have such a young, talented and likeable player leading our team.

Having run my blog and message board for almost six years now, I've come to understand that some people just get off on being contrarian trolls and sometimes they may not even mean what they say. They just like being "the guy who goes against the worshiping sheep" because it draws attention to themselves that they don't get in real life.

Eureka...a veiled personal shot

Well done Scott, but not true in this case. It is also not something new that I have been saying. The Toronto sports market as a whole has been overrating its own players for decades (looking at you Leaf fans).

One thing for sure though, I do like being the guy who goes against the "worshiping sheep", and in fairness after reading your blog for about 4 years, I do not consider you one. One thing I never want to see is the fan base turn into something I've seen in the ACC when Andy Frost opens his trap about Darcy Tucker. Bosh is an all-star and a good guy....so is Elton Brand, I prefer success.

I dont think anyone doesnt appreciate the fact that this good and young kid is the francise, but as far as nitpicking, it is what fans do.

Until Bosh is leading this team to an 82 and 0 record with no losses in the playoffs while averaging 35 20 10 5 and 5, there will always be people saying that he should bring more. Its part of being a fan, setting goals for your favorite players and wanting them to exceed them.
