And bold predictions at that too. D12 for MVP and a Lakers vs. Orlando final.

The chances the Nuggets have of making the playoffs in the west this year with their current roster are the same as tSN turning into an exclusive basketball based channel this year.

I also like your prediction of the Raptors over the LeBrons, James.

I don't see it happening at this point, but I guess we'll have to see come season's end.

Yeah, I think thats homerism too. I held back on the homerism in my predictions which I dont usually do, heh. I dont think we can beat any of the top 4 besides ORL in the playoffs and even with ORL a lot of things have to happen for us to win that one.

In defense of the Raptors ranking in this blog. I do not feel the team we see now will be the same team we see at the end of the season. I mean that in real terms as I could see Bryan Colangelo making some changes along the way. So I am making my opinion based on the Raptors making improvements along the way.

I agree this team as it stands today needs work. But I do feel Colangelo has some options he could use to make those changes to make this team ultimately better. Just so it is clear.

I was not sold on Denver, Golden State or Dallas so in picking the 8th seed in the west it was taking the team I have the least issues with and that is Denver to me. But Dallas Or Golden State could easily slide in that final spot.

I hope I have not given your pick the Blogger Curse. I honestly did not read any of the posts here in coming up with all of this. I have been thinking Howard is going to be in the M.V.P Conversation for awhile.

I agree! I think 2 current players on this roster will be traded by mid-season for a wing player

Lots of things have changed in the West since last year man. I dont see how DEN or GSW can win 45+ games in their current states. DEN has no PG or true center(or backup), theyre thin as hell if JR Smith does start, leaving only one proven guy off the bench in Kleiza, and their frontcourt is one of the most injury prone in league history, and if either get injured, STEVEN HUNTER is going to start. Thats bad.

And in GSW's case, they probably have the weakest starting lineup in the west with Ellis out likely the entire season.

I expect both to be bottom 5 teams in the West because they both have way too many weaknesses and worries.

I think NO,UTA,HOU,LAL,SA are locks, PHX and POR are likely in, and the last playoff spot will be DAL or LAC if they stay healthy.

Unless DEN makes a big move they dont have a shot IMO, and you cant make the playoffs without your best player in GSWs case. Their fans are in the state we were 5 years ago unfortunately for them.

Denver would be smart to deal one of or both Iverson and Carmelo. They could rebuild that situation quickly with the right deals.

Problem is their contracts and even attitutdes scare off one too many teams.

Memphis, L.A Clippers, Minnesota, Oklahoma City and Sacramento to me all have to be ranked behind the 3 teams I was choosing between. I would be willing to accept the Clippers could be part of that conversation but Baron and Camby on same team. Can anyone think they both stay healthy? Not me. The other 4 are dogs with fleas at this point. So I can't see how Denver or Golden State can be ranked anything lower than 10 or 11 if you honestly have faith in the Clippers.

But having said that this is the last seed in the west that will be swept by the Lakers will it matter much other than for draft choices. The 2 teams that don't make it are actually the winners to me in the long run.
