This also marks the end for Shawn Marion, Anthony Parker and Joey Graham. I can't say I will miss the last guy on that list at all. In fact after I calm down about this bad contract it will sink in that Joey Graham is out of my life!!!

This move smacks of desperation. But if the intention was to get Chris Bosh on board at least via twitter he seems happy about it.

But this fits what Chris has been saying. He is focused on the here and now. But how the heck does this team move forward with him? You got Jose making a major amount of cash with his contract. Bargnani eventual needs to get paid. Now Hedo as well. If Bosh is to get a Max deal can this really happen? It would seem highly unlikely.

This deal seems like a huge risk that Bryan Colangelo has taken on. That being said does anyone think this move makes the Raptors a contender in the East? I will admit it should make them a playoff team. But I am not even sure if it takes them past the first round.

I need to sleep on this but I can't imagine my thoughts will change much. This is a night that some will cheer but they are not seeing the big picture. In the big picture this could be a move that may be one the worst in this team's history. Not a Vince Carter trade bad. But Bad. Think back to the re-signing of Williams, Williams and Davis. People cheered then. Even the NBA commissioner David Stern praised the Raptors off-season as huge step in the right direction. It would turn out to be the exact opposite.

It is not that I dislike Hedo and do not see him as a player that can do things and have value. He was a part of a team that went to the NBA finals. But for this money and this long I can not endorse this in any way shape or form. To much and to long.

Who cares what this guys has to say? The only figures I'm interested in hearing from in terms of this deal are: BC, Triano, Turk..and Bosh and Derozen have already voiced their opinions via twitter.

Everybody should embrace this move..

It seems like too much to me, but it also seems like a step forward. JO was a risk. We all knew it. It seemed like a good risk. This is very different. This is a commitment to verifiable talent. I don't have an inkling as to whether it works, and I hope that there are other ducks lined up somehow. If it doesn't work, other trades can be made.

Why is there so much panic all of the sudden? We made a move that has already improved the squad and there are 3-4 months left until the actual season starts. You think BC's done making moves already? He'll fill the roster soon enough, give it time. You can't build a championship caliber squad overnight.

Hi (THIS GUY HERE ) so what people in the organization say is what's important? Rewind 1 year. Raptors were all saying right things about J.O and it being a great move. How did that work out? So by all means listen to MLSE spin if you like. But really any independent voice is much more important. Not just mine but anyone that is not tied to the organization. Those voices are important as well just to give their side of things but it is ONLY ONE SIDE.

Last year was about a great risk. And it was. Ultimately it lead down the winding road that gave them the ability to sign Hedo, who is not a risk, but a real financial commitment to talent long-term. Now I know losing that precious flexibility is tough for some to swallow, but it has to happen at some point, and I can't think of a better point than now.

Subjectivity is very important, I agree. But this is just commonplace at this point in time. Void of any real, solid principles backed by the organization itself. All I'm trying to purvey is patience. Wait to hear the team's intentions before impetuously panicking. And yes, I'd rather hear the concreteness of the braintrust's plan as opposed to the speculation of a blogger. That being said, I respect everyone's opinion; I just believe it is unfair to call this 'potentially one of the worst moves in franchise history' so soon.

The J.O trade still doesn't bother me. He obviously turned out to be a worth while mentor for Bargnani. Best case scenario if the trade did not transpire? First round exit most likely, meaning no lottery.
