Dime Mag: Raptors could use Gooden

Quote:
3. Toronto Raptors
I’m sorry Raptors fans, but your front court is kind of thin. Behind Chris Bosh’s 11.4 rebounds per game, their next highest guy is Andrea Bargnani at 6.2. In the thick of the playoff chase in the Eastern Conference, adding Gooden could only help their chances as they face the front lines of Cleveland, Orlando and Boston. At the very least, he brings a toughness that they lack.

I'd roll the dice with Reggie, Amir and Rasho before I'd bring that durfwad here.

I remember when San Antonio picked up gooden to strengthen their front court for the playoffs and it was a major fail. The guy can't play defense worth shit.

Durfwad is officially my word of the day. Although urban dictionary spells it derfwad: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Derfwad

For me, he's one of those cats that just annoys me for no particular reason.

Apprently he's a pretty good guy, but you've got to wonder why he's been on 8 teams in 8 years.

yeah, he's a legit journeyman. i'm not questioning why people dislike him, i'm just wondering if he raped kittens or something. this isn't the first time or place i've seen multiple people going off about how they hate him.

I always thought he was over-rated to start with, and then by the time he wasn't rated at all he just started to do dumb-ass celebratory stuff. He was unbearable to watch on the Cavs.

8 teams in 8 years, and something like 10 coaches I think. It always feels a little less like a basketball game when he's on the floor. He's so ineffective.
