I don't think Demar is the right fit beside Wiggins. SHIP HIM.

Iggy is a 6-8 ranked sg in my mind - with his superior defense, play making and scoring - though his below 16 per pulls him out of the top 5 for me. DD won't touch Iggy on the defensive side but offensively I feel DD will definitely be the better player as soon as next year (better than Iggy's best, not next year's stats). Despite not being on Iggy's level defensively, I believe DD will become an average to better defensive player over the course of the next year or two - just something about the influence of Gay seems to have triggered a development spurt.

What do you think Carp? Dropping questions and then waiting for others to answer

Kobe vs Wade........I take Kobe still. Wade is just not healthy enough anymore because if he was, imo, he would be the top. However, Harden is pretty impressive on the stats this year and his impact to the Rockets. His per is right up there with Kobe and Wade as well - I can see Harden taking the top SG crown by next year. Something I think was coming anyways but might have been hastened due to all the injuries.

I don't get that either, what Manu does in 20 mpg is phenomenal - top 5 imho.

It doesn't matter what I think! Lol

I don't think he's going to be better. I think his ballhandling and shooting won't ever get smooth enough and he's too slow footed laterally to be a dominant defender, though I'd love to be proven wrong. He's got good size at the SG but he's such a one-way player that it's hard to see the light. I think you underrate Iggy's offensive game as well. He has elite athleticism and agility, which I don't think Demar has. Demar is very mechanical in my mind. He's 23, can improve, but his whole focus has been scoring and it's just not enough. Maybe more pick and roll can bring out his passing, but I don't trust him to be handling the ball that much cause he's probably just going to take more shots. Just my opinion. I'd trade Demar for Iggy right now actually... the next 5 years of Iggy will be better than Demar in my view, but I think Denver would hang up the phone.

Do you think AI will waive his ETO and become an UFA? I would take either AI or Chandler - both would be great at the 2 and I'm not sure both can stay in Denver.

I think Denver won't let AI go... Chandler.... I haven't followed much, are his injuries still an issue? Seems like he had an inflated value in NY.... could be wrong.

We don't need another wing unless we were to move somebody... and I'd move a certain somebody, but I'm probably in the minority in Toronto. Just tired of hearing how our management seems to fall in love with certain players here. It's a bit much.

I'm not sure about his injuries, he certainly came on strong this year when he did start playing. I always thought of Chandler more of a 2-3 and with this positionless play, or at the very least teams with 4 perimeter and 1 in the hole would be in Chandler's favor.

I echo those bolded sentiments.

DD really needs to up his WS/48 minutes. This year he improved which is nice (.075) but still below the league average (.100).

Not sure how Manu doesn't make this list.

good eye,he's top 5. Tony Allen should probably make this list too.

DeRozan is arguably top 10 but calling him the future of the SG position, doesn't seem accurate right now. Ellis is WAY too high and an overrated player imo.

my list,

1.) Bryant(Yes,old an all but he's still great)
2.) Wade (Heat on't win without him,2 rings and a FInals MVP)
3.) Ginobli
4.) Harden (climbing the ranks quickly, but not gonna crown him after a couple good season's,needs to accomplish a bit more)
5.)Iguodola (had an off year but still a good defender and team player)
6.)Johnson (overpaid but still a good player)
7.)Smith (would score alot more as a starter and first option but not consistent enough to be top 5)
8.)Crawford
9.)Allen (no not Ray,but Tony. Great defender and reliable offensive player if needed)
10.)Ellis (will probably be of "my" list after next season)

next 5(no order): Thompson,DeRozan,Martin,Gordon,Allen

i think he's in the conversation for top 10. i'd take him over quite a few guys that are more "sexy" for these types of lists because they have fancier moves or score more points.

Not sure how you put Matthews in the top 5 displacing one of
Kobe/Wade/Harden/AI/Manu - his play hasn't exceeded theirs yet. Next year I see Gordon and Thompson pushing into the top 5 - just don't see Matthews in there, yet. I could see top 10 and in a year or 2 pushing towards that 5 (he's certainly good enough).

I would definitely take Matthews over DD....think they'll swap?

I see there's no mention of Afflalo - like anywhere. Currently he's a better player than DD although DD has the age advantage. Also - Iggy - I love the guy but he's not a fulltime SG - can play SF pretty well too.

Unfortunately, that's what happens when you play on the team with the worst record. Same deal goes for Gerald Henderson.

I hear what you're saying about Iggy,he's essentially a combo wingman but I guess we have to base it off what position he'll likely play in most scenarios or how he's viewed by most. Personally,I view Curry as a SG. In this case he's probably be #5 or #6 on my list but more people look at Steph as a PG.

Matthews,I'll admit I don't know too much about because I don't follow the Blazers and their division. He seems to be on the same tier as DD so I can't put him ahead, but I don't mind putting DeRozan ahead because of him being one of the leader's in FT attempts at that position and he's surrounded by less talent (Aldridge,Lillard,Batum>Valanciunas,Gay,Lowry).
