Get over it. Calderon is one of the best PGs in the world today.

The wrong thing about the trade was that we got O'Neal for such a huge amount of money. We could have gotten a good wing player for Ford and keep Nesterovic.
Hahhhhhhhhhhhhh! That's what i said when this trade went down. We could have gone after a strting 3 or 2guard and kept Bargs/Rasho at the C position!!
When i said these things alot here acted as if i killed one of there family members! lol

But people have seen the flaws in his game and his transition into being the man as far as having the starting job has just made flaws in his game that were their before now more obvious. He came of a career season and the Raptors signed him and paid him based on less then a season of play to judge from. I am not to the point of Kenny Smith saying he doesn't deserve to be a starter but I sure would not have left him to hang in the wind without a legit back-up. Ukic may become that but he is not there.
You could have that opinion. But T.J isn't as good in most things including making his teammates around him better. Jose is better than T.J and the fact that T.J hasn't made Indiana any better (13-22) and he's lost his starting role proves it! Ford is too selfish and the fact that he's injury prone made it an easy decision to keep Jose. And most here were happy about it! Now that we're 16-22 and we've struggled it's blame everyone under the sun time.

TJ makes his teammates better.
i remember people were talking about how detroit made a bad move trading for iverson. it takes time adjusting to new teammates.

if you got the abilty to penetrate and make incredible passes youre going to make your teammates better.

he's selfish? he didnt make his shots thats why you think he's selfish. its called heart. he was willing to stepup when nobody else would. something we're missing this year. he would take it to the rim or he would look for his shot and he's won us many games that way while weve lost a couple. it happens.

the pacers beat the celtics and the lakers this year both times with ford having a good game.

people dont understand hes a scoring PG whos going to look for his offense.
he's a scoring PG with unbelievable quicks, good dribbles and great playmaking skills. he took a lot more chances than jose and still had one of the best ast/to ratios in the league.
now what can we say about jose?
he shoots a good percentage.
nothing else. his health isnt even an advantage anymore.

we're seeing more of the 2006-2007 season this year when jose is not on the floor. yes we've got more turnovers but we also have more wins.

guys, let's deal with the team we have and not the one that got away, or we could destroy Bargs as we evaluate the 15 or so guys better than him BC left on the table in 2006. t.j. is NOT coming back, jose is the guy, lets see if we can figure out how to fix what is here and not beat dead horses over and over

Negative.

VILLANUEVA was the one we shouldn't have traded.

A joke?

Villanueva only plays hard once every 5 games.

And yet his production this year is better than TJ's.
Albeit slightly.

I'd rather have a guy that tries hard than one that doesn't give a shit.

And I'd rather have a guy who underachieves for 13points a game than a guy who "tries hard" for the same numbers.

TJ Ford is a PG that makes his teammates better.

Charlie Villanueva is just a scorer every 5 games, who doesn't play any defense and doesn't make his teammates better.

Big difference.

Yeah, I'm sure TJ's "me me me" style of play made his team worlds better. Colangelo even alluded to the fact that TJ's attitude was a factor. And any PG worth his salt knew all he'd have to do against TJ is put his back to the basket.

A TJ hater, eh? I forgot there were so many of you.

TJ is largely responsible for winning this team their first division title in '06-07, and played a big role in winning games in December '06 when Bosh was hurt.

He was a good player, whether people want to admit it or not. Far better than Charlie Villanueva, a guy who doesn't give a shit about his own development.

Not really a TJ hater. I liked him in '06-'07. What I didn't like was his attitude during '07-'08. I'm a firm believer that chemistry can go a long way, and TJ was just fucking that chemistry up in my opinion.

You are simply a sheep of the press, then. As fans, we don't know anything about his attitude. We weren't in the dressing room, we don't know what went down there.

IMO, the writers needed something to write about, and emphasized that story far more than it should have been.

TJ was a nice guy and everybody liked him (especially Bosh). He didn't ruin the team's chemistry. It was lack of talent the team had that caused them to win 41 games (just like it is this year).

His body language said it all. Also like I said Colangelo himself also alluded to it. As for "TJ was a nice guy and everybody liked him", didn't you just like 5 minutes ago "forget" that there were "so many TJ Haters"?

Everybody on the team liked him. You know...the people that actually matter.

As for Colangelo, well he alluded to the fact that they couldn't have 2 of their best players be point guards, that was it.
