Not even close. He's going to be more like Gerald Green.

Ross has a jumper, something Gerald Green has never really had.

To clarify, are you suggesting that the ceiling for Ross is Gerald Green?

I believe I read somewhere he's going to be the next Michael Jordan.

For the record, Gerald Green has turned out to be a decent player.... starting SG on a team that is better than us that plays good defense.

I actually like Gerald Green, but it took him what 8+ years to learn and get to where he is while Ross is pretty much a year away from being the defensive athletic shooting swingman he is.

Gerald Green is averaging 14 PPG on a .600 team in the tough Western Conference. Like Ross, he is also extremely athletic and a top notch dunker. I believe it is a fair comparison.

As of right now, Ross and Green are definitely comparable, style wise and on the stat sheet - both post similar numbers as starters. Ross has room to grow, though, and potential to be better ball handler and defender, just an all around more focused player than Green, who has probably plateaued.

Just wait a year or so, and you might be surprised. The only trouble with Ross right now, is his inability to put his game together and control his personal tempo. Ross has a very solid jump shot, solid handle, quick first step and good defence.
I think once he lets the game comes to him, you will see a totally different player. I belive that Ross in the second half of this season will average something close to 14/5 per game.

I use to think the same but he's stepped up a lot since being inserted into the starting line up. Even though Demar and Ross are both Shooting Guards I think they compliment each other decently. I really could see Ross becoming a Sprewell type of player, which is very good.

Green has done really well so far. I don't think people really believed he will be able to pull it off and was really close to be a scrub. He has bounced around a lot with a couple of stints in Europe if I remember correctly. He is 28 and most likely tapped his ceiling, while Ross will and should become a much better player. I think Ross at this point is still in the shadow of DD. You can see the hierarchy while they are both on the floor, and I think Ross should start and shoot some more and be more vocal.

it's tough not to be in the shadow of an all star with 3 years of experience on you.

I agree, but the kid can score, he should be a bit more active and vocal imo. At times he is kind of nonexistent on floor while most plays run through Lowry and DD.

In the Bill Simmons interview with DeMar, i found it interesting that he was surprised that Terrence did not get as tired as usual in the 51 point game. I really thought a lack of strength held him back from having a consistent shot last year. He's just going to get better as he gets some muscle on him. I don't mean he needs to bulk up, just that he needs some muscle instead of looking like i did when i was 17. The little bit of muscle he's gained has helped him a bunch already. Watch out. He might be able to hold that dunk trophy for more than thirty seconds this year.

The kid will be fine. And if DD stays on the team he will become a gym rat too and be even better. DD is like Gary Roberts. Ross won't be a superstar but no worries he will be an above average player... and will in 5 years be all defense if this keeps up.
