damn. this could impact him 2 ways.

he gets sad about it and loses form.

he gets angered by it and gets even better.

actually there's a third way. could lead to him wanting out and blaming canada for not being named.

Ultimately, there's no chance in hell that he was going to get selected for the final roster. Let's continue to hold onto Demar, build up his value, and trade him to a team like Denver in the offseason if that NY pick they're getting turns into a nice lottery pick.

I would do Demar DeRozan for Wilson Chandler, New York 1st round pick if it's bottom 7 (pre-lottery).

^ I don't know about that but It would be interesting if we could get 2016 Denver pick and them loose the option to swap it.

his game is a very bad fit for international play, shooting is at a premium there and his shot creation ability is hardly necessary on a team featuring durant, lebron and carmelo. They need 3pt shooters to spread the floor from the role players.

I'd want certainty. Not so sure about trading demar for 2016 pick, think we could do better than that. If Denver doesn't include chandler, I'm sure they would seriously consider demar for McGee (horrible contract 2 years 23+ million) and New York 2014 1st pick (bottom 6-7 pre lottery).

korver has the second best true shooting pct in the league behind lebron btw. extremely underrated player.

Obviously we would get more, but I don't think Denver would be interested in Demar they don't really need him

Faried is a very good player. They like a few high intensity role players on the roster. Even if he doesn't make the final team, he will make practice better.

In the end, this isn't an All Star game. DeRozan doesn't bring a skillset that would make sense on that team.

Demar would be an upgrade over Foye and getting rid of Mcgees contract in the process would have them give it serious consideration.

agree, imagine if stupid dumars signs korver for 7M instead of smith for 14. He could have used the rest on a very solid bench guy and korver would be a fantastic fit wit monroe's passing ability. Now they'll probably have to trade monroe or let him go, since nobody is taking smith and drummond is untouchable ...

Remember when Vince was left off the team in favour of Ray Allen (because he was a better shooter) and then he proceeded to destroy the Bucks the very next game (dropped 47) and then went on a crazy run?

Would love it if DD would do that. Ha.

Not a huge surprise. They clearly picked this team with a lot of thought in terms of role players. Demar is a bubble guy, and has only recently started playing at the level he's shown lately. Maybe in 2020 if he's still playing well..
