Derozan: I've got a lot to prove this season

Well, this is promising. Let's hope he proves a lot of good things :clapping:

Glad to hear he's in the right state of mind and not resting on his so called laurels

hopefully he's learning how to dribble a basketball

Tweets are cheap. Doing is what counts.

The good thing about Derozan right now is that he's our 4th best player (Bargnani, Lowry, Calderon) and is going to be pushed by Ross with any luck. Hopefully he's realizing that he's going to have to work to get what he can. And then there is Valanciunas who could step up and demand some touches.

Shadowfax 07-20-2012 03:23 PM

In response to DD's remark...well duh

Actually the good thing is that he's only ever played within offenses that rely far too much on 1-on-5 basketball, and is going to now have more talent around him, as well as a team and coach focused on incorporating something beyond him or anyone else being left out on an island. With a more organized offense he has a chance to look more efficient and effective, even if his scoring decreases a bit. Within an organized offense his uglier moments will be discouraged, and he'll have a chance to make others look better rather than force anything.

If the offense is just going to be about competing for the most shots, then neither he nor the team will amount to much, and Casey's credibility will take a big hit.

Atleast no one ever doubts DD's work ethic. I wouldn't be suprised if he's one of the hardest workers in practice.

Maybe it went like this:

Funny, Jose stepped up and encouraged his guy, for whatever reason, no tweet of love from this Kyle Landry guy.

That my friends is the difference between leading, and not leading.

:)

KLo tweeted - too late, you've proven you're Harold Miner part deux.

INSIDER 07-20-2012 05:01 PM

good to hear from demar. and nice response from jose. and demar and bryan seem comfortable together. the raptors seem to have good chemistry it'd be interesting to see how lowry, fields, ross, acy, john lucas iii and valanciunas all fit into that. especially fields and lowry.

lol, you fused kyle lowry and landry fields into 1 guy

anyways, you can't say anything about lowry for not tweeting back, maybe the guy doesn't even use twitter and how can use expect a guy who just joined a team to know everyone on it already

Nites 07-20-2012 07:46 PM

Amir with the tight pants lol
