Dude nobody ever sticks to the point of the topic, every single one of them turns into an argument about the same thing every time. Before it was Bargs or Jose. Now its Lowry and Fields, with some of the other 2 thrown in.

But in my best effort to stay on topic... Demar says this every year, and comes out just as bad. But hell heres to hoping he actually does something right this time.

If anything was wrong with Turkoglu's contract is that we offered him $11MM to play a lesser role then he what he was used to.
Hedo was also playing with the best defensive big in the NBA and had a host of great shooters around him.

Asking him to come to Toronto to do the same thing with Jose and Bosh was akin to trying to jam a square peg into a round hole..... Marion was a much better fit for our team at the time.

He performed well in the playoffs. Otherwise he showed himself to be more and more out of shape and somewhat lazy. He played well for Toronto in a few big games, where there was some hope of squeaking into the playoffs. But overall, no.

Paying a guy big money for some big playoff games is just about as irritating as anything else. That's how we landed Jerome Moiso.

And I apologize for taking this thread off track. DeRozan tweeted something. Boy that gets the neurons firing like crazy. Let's get back on that now. That's the ride of a lifetime right there.

Actually, weren't the Raptors on pace to win 50 games before Bosh went down with an injury? And then they plummeted to 9th place? Just saying, the Hedo deal, as much as I hated it, seemed to work out all right - even though Hedo himself was disappointing. Perhaps I am misremembering?

if I remember it right, and I should as I went to the game, we faced miami in feb or so, and miami was 4th before the game, we were fifth. we won in the ACC, and that put us to 4th. Now I don't remember if it was just the injury, or just a bad streak of playing, but we plummeted down to 9th after that. could have made the playoffs if Bosh made a damn put back too!

We were on the bad streak with Bosh for a bit. Then after he went down he missed like the last 10-15 games. And we lost like 10 of those games.

Fuck. I remember wanting to kick my TV in watching us play CHI at home in one of the last games of the season that year.... all the Raps had to do was win and we would have been in.... but they laid an egg and that was it for our playoff hopes.

I could be wrong but I think that Rose and Noah didn't even play in that game which made it all the more infuriating.

They played, but it was a sorry excuse for a game. Raps lost the game mid-way through the first. I remember fans standing up and giving them up a ovation before the tip-off for support. And the Raptors sacked it.

I remember a quote from D. Rose that he looked into their eyes before the game and knew they wouldn't beat Bulls.

before the game? I don't know, but am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous? Nothing against you snark, but it's just something a dumb person would say to make headlines.

Derrick Rose had someone else take the SAT for him, so to say that he's dumb would be a cliche.

The interview was post-game. He was commenting on his pre-game observation.

He said he knew the Raptors didn't want the game. That was the year that he guaranteed the Bulls would make the playoffs.
