Derozan has got to go

I've been saying it for a while now but DeMar DeRozan is simply not a player you build your team around.

He has got to go.

'trane 03-18-2014 10:14 PM

Lol

Kirby 03-18-2014 10:17 PM

I think OP has to go tbh.

trane the fact that I made this thread before we lost the Hawks game shows you that its something I've been believing for a while now and not simply the result of this one game.

there have been many many games where demar has shown me how bad he is. he is not, nor will he ever be "the man"

Northern Neighbour 03-18-2014 10:17 PM

Who said the team was building around DD? And such an asinine post at this time. It's not like DD could be moved. Just enjoy the year. Everything is gravy right now.

Thug 03-18-2014 10:18 PM

Its not even about the Hawks game.

The Hawks game was tied when I posted this.

Its just an overall assessment of how bad Demar is and has been. Ever since his allstar selection he seems to be coasting.

Empty stats.

th3answ3r 03-18-2014 10:19 PM

the game isn't even over yet

Wha? We only keep guys if they are "the man"? How do we field a full squad if almost everyone has got to go?

jeffb 03-18-2014 10:20 PM

We have given up 235pts the last two games :MeUgly:

Its not even about that.

Its about the fact that he BELIEVES he is a superstar and the main man.

I think that fluke all-star selection really got to his head.

Coasting? The guy still gets to the line nearly 8 times a game. That's not coasting. If anything, he may be trying too hard. He's a big reason why the team is 14 games over .500 since the trade. He's not a franchise guy, but he's a very good piece to the long-term puzzle.

No, he is not a long-term solution to anything.

Trade Demar, give Ross those minutes and let a real shooting guard develop.

Demar only got into the league because of his athleticism and thats where most of his success comes from.

He has little to no actual basketball talent.

LX 03-18-2014 10:28 PM

Tank!

Another idiotic comment. You don't become a top-10 scorer without talent.

We get it. You don't like him. But don't try to rationalize your dislike for him by making asinine comments.

As for Ross, he doesn't have a high BB IQ and lacks the assertiveness to be a great to very good player. Good complementary guy but he's not a go-to guy.

You're right. I exaggerated.

Honestly though, his play style is just UGLY. I don't know how you guys are able to stomach watching him pull up for long twos and brick them repeatedly. It's like Rudy all over again.

& don't even get me started on how bad he is on the defensive end...

Dario 03-18-2014 10:35 PM

Seriously lol

He has got to go.

You pick the game where he was 4 assists away(while falling 1 point shy of his 15th 30+ point game) from his first career triple double to trash him on basically his performance and effort!?!

The Raps need to hire you as a scout, assistant GM or something.
