Lowry is the MVP of this team, not Demar.

They're Co-MVPs,the Raptors wouldn't be in a home court playoff position and above .500 without either of them especially.

congrats !

for sure him and KL deserve some recgnition, they are both doing a great job, and they are the soul of this team since the trade, and maybe before.
we can all see DD being hungry to win, and Lowry is hungry to show the way, so that pair both deserve this.

they don't have a nickname like the splash brother, but they would deserve something. and i would prefer a allstar spot for each of them.

also DD just get his first back to back >30ppg. so he is on track to be in the allstar game.
he is 4rd in scoring in the East, not that far from George.
what i remark the last games, it's his decision concerning the 3pts. his selection of 3pt attempt is way better. hope it can continue like this for the reminder of the season.
it will be harder, more and more team will double team him.

If you're talking about DD, they already do - double and triple teams. KL making so many 3's, plus his dribble drives collapsing the defense has really alleviated the pressures on DD imo - well, everyone really . Add in the 3's from TR, JS and others with all the unselfish passing and you have nice spacing for DD to work.

If you talking about KL, DD making his 3's now forces teams to split the doubles between the 2 players and when teams do, our bench steps up. So fun to watch the team when the players are clicking like they have been.

KL is certainly the MVP of the team as he is making everyone better - which is what I'm most impressed with - though DD is really just a half tick behind. Those 2 really have a nice symbiotic relationship in the back court.

If MU decides to attempt to sign KL hopefully MU can find another wing and another front court player - then this team will really make some waves in the playoffs imo.

I dont like making comparisons but that's getting to Kobe level production.
Hey dingo, if you don't like making comparison's then don't freaking make them.

Derozan being on this list, let alone being ahead of Lowry, just shows that no one besides Raptors fans watch this team consistently.

Derozan being infront of Dragic is a crime.

in the US they only pay attention to 6-8 teams. You think it's any different for 20+ other markets? Obviously to varying degrees. Derozan beig ahead of Dragic means nobody pays attention to the Suns much either.

It just means DeMar had a really good week. Better than Lowry and better than Dragic. Not a big deal.

unlike canadians who avidly follow each and every team

if you're not *really* good, or your team is not really good, you have no shot. And if you're both, you may not get all the exposure you want - take guys like ginobili or parker, or even duncan. Took them forever to become well known figures, and never to the extent they deserved.

Canadians aren't the ones making these lists. And the US runs the narative when it comes to the NBA media. Watch NBATV/TNT etc........ all they talk about is LAL (even though they suck), NYK (yep, they suck), Indy, Miami, OKC, GSW, Chi, Houston and to a lesser degeree Brooklyn (they suck) and SA.

Jeff is right, Lowry is the leader, but Demar is the MVP.
