I don't think anyone on this team is thinking and saying "its not a big deal"

Everyone is tired of losing. We came from a semi playoff team to one of the bottom feeders. The change is going to be rough. Besides, there have been a lot of changes to this team and not enough time for players to blend. Everyone is asked to assert themselves to defense and key players are asked to do more than what they did last year. Andrea is asked to play more and getting used to being the number 1 man on the team. That used to be Bosh, now its him, teams are going to have game plans to him now. DD is asked to play more minutes and play more aggressively. The same with Amir, Davis, and Weems (if he ever comes back). Even Jose is asked to do more with his ailing body. Plus don't forget the new players added and traded this year and the injuries we had.

Kevin Love became something and he quickly said about leaving. I'm pretty sure, that if Raptors won't get into the playoffs for the next two seasons DD is out.
The best thing you can have if you want guys to stay is an excellent PG.

good to know JT isn't babying them. get HARDER on Andrea and DD. Even if Andrea is having a scoring night, tell him to box out. if you ain't rebounding you better clear everyone out.

It sounds like `I scored 24 and we lost and I`m pissed at my teamates`. You ask me the kid should learn how to play consistent and play defense and be tougher and maybe they will win more games.

You think it's frustrating for you? Try WATCHING the games!

Ahhh, whatever...he'll be gone when his rookie contract is up anyways.

I'm proud of DD stepping up. I like the mindset he has and that losing is NOT ok and is not the norm. You know what? He said he would improve on his dribbling and his jump shot over the summer because he was criticized about it, and guess what, he has. His defense isn't spectacular but he's one of our better perimeter players. He's getting the idea of where players want to go much quicker and reacting much quicker. He's improved greatly on his weaknesses. If anybody thinks DD is struggling, you don't know the Raptors. He's being asked to do way too much for a 2nd year player who's just blossoming. Bargnani is one of the main reasons we lose. He needs to go. He's just not physical enough to fight for position and intimidate attackers. I mean, do you remember the other night when Bargs was trying to post up Ginobli a few times and he couldn't get to where he wanted because GINOBLI was forcing him outside? I mean, yeah, that situation is tough because it could easily be an offensive foul, but i mean really, how hard can it be to establish position on a guy who's 6 inches shorter than you. Point guards on this team are terrible, Jose doesn't know what to do in a half court set cause he can't break people off the dribble. Only pieces I would keep on the roster are Davis, DD and Amir. Abandon ship

Personally, I like the attitude.

Too many times in the past I've felt like this team has a certain non-chalance to it and is USED to losing. That if things aren't easy they can't work any more. There was this mentality almost that oh well, we lost.

I like that Derozan is getting pissed at losing. Show's he's competitive. Now, someone needs to tap into that anger and tell him, you know what, you gotta be even better. You gotta be unstoppable offensively and defensively. And guess what? He's got that ability in him. He just needs to work harder right now.

I also like this attitude. I can't stand seeing Jay or the players say how "theres no problem, we just made some mistakes and we'll get better" in their interviews after a loss.

Him and Bayless are the only ones I've seen so far say something like this. Bayless actually went even farther and said "we can't keep loosing, I won't stand for this" in one post game interview. A little cocky and arrogant yes, but someones got to call the team out for things to change and I wouldn't count on our 7 foot pussy franchise player doing that.

Half of our team is injured and Calderon+ Bargnani mostly is game time decision. What he expects? He shoul dbe glad we don't lose by 20+, because Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce and tonights D.Howard will have a kind heart for us and let us be in the game for 3q.

Yup. "Well, we lost again. No big deal, we always lose."

Our team is sometimes like Eeyore.

this reminds me of something i heard about Brook Lopez and how the losing was geting to him and how it was frustrating him too. I mean i am glad to hear that Derozan hates where this team is at right now, but he's partly got to be the one that says enough is enough and picks it up. It's like Claudius said, anyone who is mad about losing - which i assume is just about anybody - has to take it upon themselves to put an end to it.

When ever I watch Andrea, I imagine his brain having to tell his body to do things. The time lapse actually works out. "move your legs Andrea", "pump fake Andrea", and so on.

Defensively Reggie was the heart and soul of this team, there are no other players on this roster that have any pride in their defense and rebounding. Its just to bad, attitude amounts to locker speeches to the media, and not play on the court. I wish we had leader on this team so it wasen't just the coaching staff having to holding people accountable.

A team usually follows its leaders, especially a very young team. Derozan is just following the leader on this team, get all the minutes, get the majority of touches, get the shots, and no accountability on defense.

leadership in pro sports is overrated in today's day and age. Kobe calls out his teammates every other game... why? Because they got lazy. Every player does, and every player should be accountable for their own effort. Bash AB for not being a true leader, but it's still foolish.

Should be accountable, yes, but what i am saying is no one is calling AB out on this team but Traino. There is no sense of being a pro, they know better then we do who the weak links are. The majority of people would say that this team could compete, but it comes down to the effort they put out. Andrea maybe the first option, ect. but leadership doesn't need to fall on his shoulders. There is just no one out there setting the tone of play for the raptors.

me thinks that if we still suck when his current deal is up then i won't have a probelm in showing him the door.

Sorry TO, but this whole attitude of needing a winner to keep players is kind of backwards to me. It should be the players that are the ones to actually start winning.

I agree.... but I can understand how it's frustrating for a player to work his ass off only to see some of his teammates playing like they don't give a shit.

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

C'mon DD start make some 3 every single game maybe we win some close games. If you're tired of losing start win games on your own or ask for a trade.
q: is it a little too harsh?

Unfortunately, DD hasn't exactly shown that he gives a shit often enough.... he'll be resigned here at least once, maybe only once.... We've got him for 4 more years at minimum.
