kid just has to put in more work.... it's not his fault some were making him out to be the franchise... it was foolish to expect that so soon anyways.

box92 01-17-2012 11:48 PM

He will get it together

Dario 01-18-2012 12:03 AM

Derozan's always posting like downer tweets, and facebook messages on his profiles. Do you guys think he really wants to be in toronto? I want him to stay, but i mean if he doesnt like it here, what can we do?

0nekhmer 01-18-2012 12:59 AM

Did people like boo him or something??or is he not getting any encouragement via twitter? Wtf is he calling out our fan base..

Bankiz 01-18-2012 07:18 AM

if he has the same reaction on txitter or facebook as there are here, i'm not surprise !!!

Deez 01-18-2012 07:31 AM

That's why I question the wisdom of social media as an athlete if you have thin skin. People have access to you that they otherwise wouldn't so your ass is on the line all the time. and you won't know if it's just another guy who's jealous of your fame and paycheque or one of your "fans". But no one says they are going to treat you gently. People are more bold attacking a guy on twitter.

I feel bad for this kid, everyone's really down on him right now. Such large expectations for him but he still has far too much to learn to be a consistent, effective player on a nightly basis.

Don't expose yourself if you can't handle someone telling you you're small.

I was watching Miami and San Antonio last night wondering why they get rookies that perform so well while we seem to get busts (or so we say after a few bad games) more often than not. And it dawned on me.

They have established stars and there is ZERO pressure on them. Really if they are any good, it's a bonus.

Having been in both situations personally (on a much smaller level of course), having the space to grow at your own speed with no expectations is very liberating.

Time to lay off of Demar.

Maybe because being in a losing environment for going on 3 years now is going to drain on anyone? That's why I hope this is truly the last year of the so called "tank nation". The losing environment that has been created around this franchise is certainly not a good thing and it must stop.

Then what was his excuse in his rookie season when we had Bosh, Calderon, Hedo and Bargs to absorb the "pressure"

If anything, there is less pressure this season because there are literally zero expectations.

These guys are pros and get paid millions to play a sport at a high level. Don't feel bad for him.

DeRozan needs to man up!

Let your game do the talking!

Its more so of what people expect him to be. Even though this season means nothing to us, other than aim high for the lottery. A lot of people are expecting him to improve from what we saw last season. Wanting him to be a franchise player, he probably knows he's not an all star and is trying too hard throwing himself out of his rhythm. And it doesnt help when he also had the next VC comparison as well.
He needs to close his eyes take a deep breath and restart just playing his game

Thank you!

If you take in everything everyone has to say about you, you end up forgetting that some of them are people you would not trust could tie their own shoes. You know that guy you steer clear off when you are shopping in Walmart? He is allowed to write to Demar too. Why should his scrawling get a pro athlete all in a funk? and that's the way you have to look at it.

and for those who haven't see it, let me introduce you to The People of Walmart.........

Whats wrong with Walmart?

Demar is fine, he got off to a slow start cause the knee wraps he was wearing were cutting off circulation to his legs plus Stern may have interpreted some of his three ball celebrations a few games back as gang signs.

its all good now though, derozan figured out late last game that his legs need bloodflow plus sterns totally over the gang signs now.

on a slightly more serious note, he did get off to a shitty start last season when weems had everyone horned up so he probably will snap out of it. Last thing the team need is derozan to take a bargnani regression year right now after showing promise. Ed davis too, god damn gang signs

It doesn't actually have to do with Walmart. That's just the setting of some catastrophes. Just look at the site.
