Those are the best at those positions. I'm saying on average its easier to dunk as a C or PF than as a SG imo. Plus a simple dunk is needed to get 2 points dunk, no need for a spectacular or creative one. Dunking in a game is different from dunking in a dunk competition.

I agree with Derozan. You dont bring props to a dunk contest. Its just u , the ball and ur creativity. Sadly thou, i dont think ill ever live to see the day an all-star game comes to TO, and im only 19

use of excessive props should result in a lower score. And i beleive that if you miss more than twice.. you should be deducted points automatically. lets say 3 misses = max 9's, 4 misses = max 8s. Missed dunks is what makes the contest boring

More and more I'm thinking what were two dunks derozan planned for the final? And even more - what did Darryl Dawkins name them?

Curse the judges

It's like every year they try to make the dunk contest (or even the all star game) into this amazing story like it was destiny or something. Like it couldn't have been scripted any better.... Only inevitably it ends up looking completely over scripted and as fake as all the botox and silicone that occupies the seats in the staples centre.

I swear it's like the NBA is trying to lose me as a fan.

yeah.. the only difference is, Magic Johnson wasn't the one to say that it's back... he says it every single year

The contest is a rigged, paid ad. Just the facts.

That said. I wish Derozan was more pissed about his teams lack of defence than props in a fucking clown show.

He's ok by me, but he needs to just put it in the rearview now if he hasn't already.

I would assume he wasn't asked about his team's D and was simply answering a reporter's question about his thoughts on the dunk contest.

So what, whats your point. Is this new?????

I mean honestly, I know how media works, I don't need a lesson. It's beyond me that NBA players pretty much have no idea how to STFU in front of camera's and microphones. It leads to trouble.

SO what if it was a small question. So what if it's taken out of context. You HAVE to know it's coming.

I know I beat it to death. But again it's another place where the NHL is simply miles ahead.

The uneducated person would call the NHL interview boring. But I disagree 100%. The simple fact that for the most part, NHL players are bound together by a code to keep things internal and to reduce BS in the media impresses me beyond belief. It's awesome.

Derozan is a good guy. But You have to keep it shut and just always remain positive about the future. If everyone knows its bullshit it doesn't matter. It's just what you do.

It's Pro baby. Simple and plain.

haha...but you had no problem with the teddy bears or the use of multiple balls and baskets? you know, guys who can't dunk trying to cover up that fact?

the free throw line dunk is impressive as a feat of athleticism, but in terms of the dunk contest it's already been conquered so it's boring. but it's not a gimmick.

lmao wat??? these guys have been chosen to these dunk contests cuz of their impressive dunks throughout the season. How are they covering up the fact that they cant dunk , by usin props??? Props are used just to win the fans vote, so that they can win. It doesnt mean theyre hidin the fact that they cant dunk.

and deductions should be made to dunks if you have to change your dunk to plan B which is worse, as in when blake tried the side alley 360 and changed it to the side alley 1 hander

About 3 trys to make a dunk , or else u fail and get a score of O. That makes more sense that some complicated system thats gonna take away the fun in it.
