a) After the Billups deal, they have an expendable 3rd PG in Atkins. We could try a minor move like Hump for him, or get him in a bigger package, either way he seems like a perfect veteran fit.

b) They're extremely thin in the frontcourt, if Nene or KMart go down they're fucked. If we're looking to move Bargs, they would love him.

c) They're still in the process of building a young core for the future and have no PF... Melo, Smith, and Nene are there, Bargs would fit in perfectly as a fourth piece.

What about Linas Kleiza? He's not getting many minutes behind Melo, but the guy has a ton of talent, he had a 40 point+ game last year and put up 11ppg despite not getting much minutes or shots playing with Melo and Iverson. Would Bargs for Kleiza, Atkins, and maybe Chris Anderson as a backup big, would that be worth it? If Kleiza panned out as a 15ppg scorer it'd be a fantastic deal.

I think we should explore something like Hump and a 2nd round pick for Atkins even if we don't move Andrea, though.

Kleiza isnt going to be better than a 7th man on a good team. I'll take what Bargs provides and his potential over Kleiza anyday. Kleiza can only shoot 3's and drive straight to the hole, besides that hes useless, and hes shooting a terrible % so far.

If we're going to trade Bargs it should be in a package deal for that starting sg/sf we need from a team thats rebuilding and wants to get rid of salary. Thats the only realistic situation id give him up.

I don't see how acquiring Atkins or Kleiza really helps us at all.

And BTW, Bargnani isn't really lighting it up either right now. So sure he's a trading chip potentially, but at this exact moment he's not going to score us anything significant until be becomes alot more consistent. I'll admit his defense has improved tremendously this season, but he still has alot of problems on offense and is inconsistent as hell.

trading Bargnani for people you could sign with our MLE or BAE makes no sense. Players like atkins and kleiza are a dime a dozen, we'd be better off bringing delfino back ...
We could use them for sure, but they're not going to make a huge difference.

Solomon has been pretty good so far. Ukic has had his moments. Back up PG is the least of the Raptors' problems.

I wouldn't mind to trade Graham or Humps ( or both of them) for Kleiza

Id rather trade Hump and Kapono for someone like Marquis Daniels and filler.(mcroberts?)

Get a good sg/sf who can play a little D, get to the line and rebounds.
And he has a team option on his 6+ Million dollar contract for 09-10

not a bad idea really.
daniels is playing fantastic this season... 14/7 i believe.
but when dunleavy comes back, daniels will get thrown back to the bench... we should seriously try to pry him from indy. he's low on their depth chart.

Yea I've seen Daniels stats and they are great. I agree insider we should try to pry him away from indy. It would help our team a lot
