Derozan as a rookie without star-like signs should have been worked into the NBA from the bench.

Wright is defensively better than hedo, and on a bad shooting night, averagine about the same as hedo this season.

I abosolutley love this lineup! Two good perimeter defenders in wright and weems who can guard either 1,2,3 positions. With derozan being able to play with other bench players he gets the ball a lot more.

Lets see Traino Bench Hedo now; I wonder how he'll do coming off the bench then I'll give props to Traino for finally doing that. It kinda balance out the starting line up with Wright taking over Hedo spot and Sonny over Demar.

Wright sucks!!!!!!
He can't shoot, makes bad decisions, poor team player and average at best defensively.
Weems is good and should be starting ahead of DD!
Rather have starting line-up with Beli instead of Wright and am glad hos contract expires.

I like that Derozan has gone from some very tough assignments to being able to take advantage of second units.

This team is so much better when they have some decent defence on the floor. They got their energy from the defence all game. That fed their fast break and as a result kept Denver from crashing the boards too agressively in the offensive end. The athleticism was so much better also.

This shows that defence wins and keeps you in games, where offensive teams just get slaughtered when their shots aren't falling. This team especially, hangs their heads, when the shots aren't falling and it takes away from their defensive end effort as well.

The mentality is all wrong on this team, think about winning with defence instead of trying to win with offence. We are way too slow with both Turk and Bargs in the starting lineup, and way too weak defensively if you add Derozan and Calderon to that picture also. This was so much better.

Calderon/Derozan/Turkoglu are individually the worst defenders at their position in the NBA.

The lineup yesterday played good D, excellent effort on every possession, and with guys defending the perimeter, you could see how freaking good Reggie Evans is on defence. His rotations were perfect last night. PERFECT. Bosh got a few blocks as well and Bargs/Weems/Wright all played good on the perimeter.

I'm just glad that Bargs got on the glass this game. We had 3 palyers with double digit rebounding numbers.

Everyone uesterday played good D except Jose (no shock there) and this lineup is our best chance at winning. Our wing play yesterday was impressive with Weems/Beli/Derzan/Wright accounting for more then half the scoring and they all four played good D. Too bad that once Hedo comes back he'll play 35+ minutes and our lineup will suffer for it, and likely so will the results!

I feel bad for DD. He really should have been brought along more slowly off the bench.... because he looked SO much better out there against 2nd unit guys rather than chasing around stars.

I hope to God that Triano has the balls to stick with this lineup.

woww , new eggs coming from Bmats...

Calderon is the worst defender no doubt , but Derozan is not worst... and Hedo was the guy who was defending Pierce , Lebron and Kobe in the finals last year... so Van Gundy must be more idiot then you to put worst defender in the league aganist the best offence players...

against Pierce and Lebron it was mostly Hedo... Lee and Peaches was mostly defending Kobe but Hedo was making the doubles generally...

Missed the game, but I assume the lineup was:

Jose
Wright
Weems
Bosh
Bargs?

Yup - they actually tried to get Hedo on Kobe / Lebron in switches.

I really wish Turk will be benched when he returns. I freaking looove this lineup. Jose with 2 good perimeter defenders is gold for him. DD off the bench is definitely a must now

We actually played good team d last night. Even Jose played well and was not a liability on defence. Trianos rotation was very good until we got late in the game. He screwed up when he put in Jack in the game. Jack was just awful last night, he was scary on offence and his d actually cost us late in the game. Listening to the fan 590 after the game, they said if Jose was guarding Billips at the end of the game when billips made his 3 that fans would have been all over Jose. Then he went on to say that Jack is no better on d then Jose. We were rolling and Jay fucks up with his substitution and Boshs missed foul shot cost us the game. It should not have come down to Carmelos buzzer beater. Got to feel bad for Jack though as he was exposed and he cost us the game because of Triano he fucks up Jacks mind for costing us the win and fucks Calderons head by taking him out when he played well on d and protected the ball not like Jack who was fucking scarry all night.

I don't buy the explanation, Denver is struggling right now, and they're not a great road team. We did play better than we used to, but I doubt weems will shut down billups when he's on his game. And Denver is a team that outside chauncey, is full of immaturity. They might have looked at our results lately and thought it would be a cake walk.

Still, I like wright + weems as starters. We will be a much improved defensive team if that happens. And Jose must be benched pronto, both him and Jack are struggling mightily since the switch, and the overall ofense is not improved one bit. But it might be tough to make this move now.

Yeah last night Jack struggled. Jose was pretty much invisible the whole game and was useless on D even though as Jack Armstrong said they did a decent job at hiding his deficiencies by putting Weems Wright as our primary perimiter defenders.

Jack needs to start again, and Jose just needs to go.
