DeMar shooting 300 Three's before practice

DD has always been a hard worker and professional .. while he has made progress over the years on certain aspects of his skill-set, his poor defense and lack of 3 point shooting ability have been consistent themes.

Assuming I heard this correctly, he stated that he shot 300 Threes before practice and has been working this all summer ...

Do you think this will translate into being a good 3 point shooter (>40%) this season?

I think he said he made 300 threes, so he shot more than that. Dont think he will ever be good, but i would be happy if he shoots good enough to keep defense honest

Agree ... I should of stated that he made 300 Threes. I heard the same thing. Certainly hope he didn't take 1000 shots .. :)

He certainly seemed confident that his 3 point shooting will be significantly better this year ... Confidence is a critical element to getting there.

Good 3pt shooter is .35 or .36 or greater. Above .40 is a great 3 pt shooter

Dwight shot around 75% on FTs in practice with the lakers last year. I'll believe it when I see it.

True story Bro.

When I was 16, I lost a game of 21 against a guy I should beat every time. I decided I wasnt going to bed until I sank 15 free throws in a row. It took me until 4 am (from about 10 pm). From that night on, I could make free throws and shoot a LOT better than ever before.

My point is, that DD will develope a great "muscle memory" if he keeps it up. Here's hoping he does.

imo with that shooting form, hes not gonna be a "great" 3 pt shooter. But will hit if needed to. unless hes revamped it over the summer.

I think he will shoot better than 35% this year

Isn't this the exact same thread I made this offseason? :cookie:

He was making long twos with no problem. He's extended his range from year to year. The main thing is that he puts it all together. I really liked Casey putting an emphasis on balancing the jumpers with a lot of shots in the paint.

I would be happy if he improved his D. From getting to the line, and shooting 45% from the field, he has made valuable contributions on the offensive side of the ball. He has to keep his man in front of him, and rebound the ball better.
