Default Demar off the bench

Why wouldn't Casey try this?

Demar off the bench would bring some life into our second unit utilizing him in the jr smith type role

Plus I wouldn't mind seeing what t Ross can do starting. Plus with Rudy hunting his shot all the time it gets congested with demar and Rudy hunting for shots at the same time.

Rudy and demar pairing is redundant they like to do the same things on the court on offense. Rudy ds up demar doesn't

I said it before we played a game and I still think its a good idea. For all his hard work he still has to defend the best players in the game and it also would allow a better defender to keep us in the game in the 1st. He would still see +- 30 mpg.

Unfortunately its more about politics than whats best for the team.
In theory it could work very well.

I think it more beneficial if Casey simply cut into some of Demar's minutes and spread them around, especially after bad shots. There are several guys that can step up if given at least a slight chance.

I am very impressed with Ross lately. I think he could be agood starter, his shot selection is much better and so is his %. He is already a better defender than DD

He won't. He's afraid Colangelo will fire him.

I guess you want Rudy to become an even bigger black hole.

You could put em on the court by himself and that still wouldn't happen.

In theory sure, but as other posters have alluded to, its politics and Demar is getting paid the big bucks to produce, and wont take kindly to being a backup for a 2nd year player.

Plus it'd kill his value in the trade market, something Masai wouldnt allow.

Can Masai allow Demar to kill his own value in the trade market by how he's playing?

In theory, it's better to be seen as a misused player with potential on a bad team than a player who lost his job to a 2nd year player because of his performance. Though when you think about it, anyone who's watched basketball for any amount of time can see through what's happening with Demar, as it's looking more like he is never going to take that next step as a player, and he is what he is.

I've always liked Ross, his handles are good, he has great size for 2 guard, great athletic ability, D up, and can shoot the 3 ball

I want to see more of Ross, and see him get more opportunities on offense

Demar shot .445% last year and has career .450% FG percentage. So the kid is struggling early this year. Let the kid get out of his slump.

He needs to get out of the slump by playing smarter and taking better shots. It's on him. We should be criticizing him right now.
