DeMar DeRozan Shows His Improved Game During LA Drew League Semi's & Finals! | BALLISLIFE - #1 Source For Basketball Mixtapes on Blip
He's got to translate this to the NBA level this year, and I have faith he will. Last edited by Ataf; 08-22-2012 at 02:53 PM. |

i think he has a good shot at making a jump this year, and i think last season was tough due to extenuating circumstances, but i'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see "Demar improved game @ NBA level" as a thread title

the dirk fader was very nice! pull-up jumper was looking pretty nice. Still not sure about the handle. The 1 or 2 clips of his dribble, still looked pretty forced.

The speed he gets off his jumper and its release point look better. I hope I'm not imagining things but it looks more fluid.
His dribbling on the other hand... |

Mehhh, means nothing to me until i see it in the NBA. The two main things i want from him going into this season is for him to be bigger/stronger and to be better defensively.

dribbling looks the same
highlights are only going to show shots that go in so this tells me nothing about an improved jumper there's no defensive highlights shot does look more fluid, but only slightly, at least that means he's got more confidence at least against inferior competition overall "improved" game is inconclusive from that video |

Can't DeMarr spend some time doing some one on one training with Kobe? Or at least spend some time training with guys who he will be seeing a lot of like Harden or someone like that. Last edited by Nites; 08-23-2012 at 12:01 AM. |

but i really didn't see improvement and he really has to stop playing in those drew league games, he's proving nothing to the public about his game and it doesn't test his training against competition like that, if anything it just shows everyone that he's still not that serious about his off season training to join something like this |

You gotta walk before you run. If Demar can dominate a Drew game with his jumper, then at least that's the first step.
I was hoping Demar would play point guard in the Drew league this year. The sequence around the 20 second mark where Demar dribbles in a straight line and two defenders throw themselves out of his way kind of made me laugh. His shots were looking pretty smooth to me.
