Default DEMAR DEROZEN 37

I've noticed that people like to bitch about Derozen instead of highlight anything he does good so this is an appreciation thread for all his efforts in improving this season with a career high tonight

if he keeps working on his jumper and continues to mature he could easily score 20 a night

I like this thread. Derozan is a keeper. You ask the top 10 organizations in the NBA what player on the Raptors they would take, all 10 would take Derozan.

good point bjjs. I think Davis might not take long to be the guy they would take, and Demar still needs to get better at working on the defensive end. But he's one of the few scorers on a team full of scorers, that has no problem passing the ball.

True dat. Davis would probably be taken by a few of them already. Miami being one of them.

These are two different players in two different positions. It has nothing to do with inter team competition the kid needs some recognition for his improvements ^^.

What's impressive is that he got 37 without taking or making any threes. This just shows how good he is getting to the rim. If he consistently develops his range then I see no reason why he can't be a 20 ppg scorer in this league.

I saw a stat two days ago.. Derozan's last 7 games he was averaging 15ppg..
it has gone up the last couple of games since

every game is a learning experience for this kid..
teams adjusted to him, they took away the spin move and now they are giving him more space to knock down shots..

he has good work ethic, and addresses the things that he needs more work on
he is young and will only get better

i missed this performance, but it's a good game for Dero to reflect on, now he knows what it takes to put up big numbers, it's just a matter of consistency now

as fans we will be hard on him, because we were spoiled with players like vince

18, 18 and now 37. So next game he'll get 37 again and then the game after, 56.

37 points in 33 minutes. He sat down 2-3 minutes into the first quarter with 2 quick fouls.

Impressive. He was being guarded by Battier some of the times.

Really.

A dime a dozen SG over a 7 foot scoring machine who's defensive deficiencies are easily masked on a good roster.

Ya no.

Really. Just stop.

yep, that much in opposition on this one!!!

hahaha
