He's going to embarrass himself? He's an NBA guard...and an all-star. The competition isn't brain surgery. It's basic dribbling, wide open shots, and passing through hoops. I think Demar will do just fine.

I'm more concerned about his dribbling and passing

I'll be honest, I would be shocked if he does well in this event, none of the elements are part of his strength. You need speed, quickness, great passing and good shooting in the skills competition and he's average at best in all those areas.

do you actually watch the skills challenge? pretty basic stuff if you ask me. and most of the players who do the skills dont even try.. so dont really know what the big deal is.

the young guys try, the veterans sometimes mail it in.
as for it being basic, I disagree - the passes are fairly tricky, which is even top point guards sometimes fail a few times. What makes it tricky is that you have to do it quickly, if there was no time pressure, it would obviously be pretty easy.

we'll see what happens, at least the guy from milwaukee should be worse than demar.

Demar will probably waste both racks on the passing portion of the events and dribble the ball off of his foot on the dribbling portion, and not finish before the 1 minute timer. I have no idea why he's in this event. Next thing you know, one of the 3 point contestants will get injured and he'll be added to the 3 point compettition and end up taking long 2's, ending with a score of 0.
